i'm stuck at here, and the more i try to find out what's wrong,i get more problems.

now there is another problem,i need to solve this problem before i can post the compile log-------

I create a entity and i use the selection tool, right click on it and click tie to entity = ERROR "there are no eligible selected objects"

Tie to entity is for making your solid objects into a different type of entity.

You've simply made a point entity, you click on it, then you press ALT and ENTER to bring up it properties.

ok i think i know this one :smile:

In options go to the game configurations tab thingo and change the rmf directory to somewhere other than inside the email address directory like mine :razz:

Nooba's right. Hammer can't handle the @ symbol, which kinda sucks when all steam directories use it. It's a known bug, and I hope they're working on fixing it. Move all your crap to a different directory and change the paths for the build programs. Look up a tutorial on setting up Hammer in Steam and follow it. You should be right as rain then.

Maps can take a long time to compile. Sometimes 6-12 hours, sometimes
even more. It isn't frozen, just taking a really long time.
