hey, can you help me somehow ?
i created an Steam account with my HL Platinum CD Key, but forgot my password and everything is a mess. i didn't use that account for a long time, Steam even sent me an e-mail asking me if i'll continue using the account or not. i think i never answered them, so they were suposed to "delete" my account. now, that i want to use Steam, my CD Key is registered to that account and i can't register my CD Key to other account. i've mailed Steam team many times, but ultimately they aren't answering -.-
is there someone who can help me with this ? maybe Steam wants me to buy another HL Platinum pack again for $50 ( that's a lot for me.. don't laugh at me -.- ) but I WONT !
cmon.. say anything.. at least say " i don't know how to help you "

you have to remember the original password. Sorry, there's not really any other way. Not that you should be forgetting your password.
Steam has a question is asks you if you forgot your password. If you answered that question when you made the steam account that is.

First off your e-mails are not being answered right away, the people at steam have tons of e-mail to sift through before they might get to yours (probably most e-mails sent to them are people complaining about HL2 and CS source, wait at least 24 hours).
Do you remember the e-mail account used to create steam? cause if you type that in to their retrieve password thing it'll work, it worked for me, but I dont think I neglected my account as long as you may have (no offence). If all else fails then contact their support and wait for them to reply to you, it may take time but they will eventually get to you.

i forgot my secret answer, too, so i can't use " forgot your password ? " because they want me to answer my secret question.
i know they could take a while in answer, but i mailed them like 4 weeks ago.
if there is not another way to get my account back, all what i can say is that Steam has stolen my CD Key, they have stolen $50 from me. this sucks.

They didn't steal your key, you forgot all your information, that's your fault.
There is no way to retrieve the account if you don't know any of those things. If there were ANYBODY could gain access to anyone elses account by knowing their email address.
Don't blame your memory skills or your ability to not write things down on someone else.

If they totally deleted your account, your CDkey won't be taken. If they didn't, they still have your email address. There must be a way to get an email sent to the address you registered with containing a new password or something? Don;t tell me you forgot the password to the email account you registered with!?

cuss = swear.
I didn't mean email them, I meant press the button in steam that sends you an email with a new password. But thinking about it, you said you forgot your secret answer, so I'm guessing it asks you for that before it will send you the email. Can't you have a few guesses at your secret answer?

No, there isn't, and it allows you to change your password right there, no email involved if you do it that way.

Had I known there would have been so many problems with keys already being in use (seems to happen to lots of ppl on steam) I wouldn't have made an account. Since I never play online, it was a total waste of my cdkey, which could have went to someone else, more needy than I. (I dont even have steam installed anymore, it broke my heart.)
Can I discontinue my steam account and free up the cd key?
If so, I'll give you mine.

Even if you can't discontinue your account, you can just tell asterix your name and pass, so that he can access the account

Mephs is slapping his own wrist, asterix - "himself". Self is when you
talk about you, ie "yourself" Well, thats not actually true as the
word changes depending on where/how it is used in a sentence  But
there, he's slapping his own wrist

Doesn't matter, doesn't sit right with me. Give me my pickup any day
The other thing I heard, on like Discovery or some garbage, was the way Americans speak is closer to how the original English language was spoken then the way stereotypical British speak.
Then again, on Discovery, I heard that the idea of hell as we consider it now came from Jamaica

Yes, but 'cu' is pronounced 'que', but with culinary everyone pronounces it as 'cull' and not 'quel'. If this is the case that that is the only word with this exception that 'cu' is not pronounced as 'que', then I am giving up all hope on the english language ever becoming a proper language.

when you've learnt (or attempted to) other languages it does open your
eyes to how stupid and illogical the english language really is...
having said that, you should see Welsh. its those 3/4 extra "context
sensitive to become active vowels" that throw me... strraaaange stuff.

Yeah, the only thing about English is that, it isn't the hardest language to learn or speak, it's just the most moronic and illogical.
Only in English can we make fun of people when spelling pneumonia or vacuum. Using sounds, like Arabic, Japanese, or Korean, would be so much better. But too late I suppose.
