PHIRE!

I'm getting a little tired of all the HL2 posts since I don't have it, so I decided to start some fires (in my fireplace, mind you). This particular fire was brought to me by the wonders of old PC Gamer CDs that didn't work. If you're gonna try this at home, make sure to bring a big stack of CDs and an Eskimo suit.

Well, I had lots of clothes on for when I threw 'em in, and then I closed the... thing, you can see the metal bars, and there's glass in front of that as well. But they took a while to get ignited anyway, at least for me. :smile:

LOL this is funny stuff. Iv only tookin an old AOL cd i got in the mail with some crap, Put it up to a blow tourch and set it there till it was almost desinagrated. anyways happy dreams.

In my experience CDs didnt burn well... then again, I was only using matches...

Some guy had a cd with a paper label stuck on it that didnt burn properly. Set light to the label (took a few tries), that burned ok, but the cd just sorta melted a bit and warped. So, we used it as a frisbee. Good times.

I fully endorse destroying rubbish CDs any way possible. I'd be careful
burning plastic things though, as sometimes highly toxic fumes are
released.

Yes yes! Burning things is dangerous, yet highly amusing. Be careful!

Personally I prefer to use them as tablemats (coasters), frisbee them
at high speed into a brick wall or use them as target practice with BB
guns. Wholesome fun for everyone.

Also, AOL have started sending out their crap in DVD cases - perfect for replacing the ones i've broken in the past :smile:

I've gotten AOL in a: Jewel Case, DVD Case, Tin Can Case, Cardboard DVD Case, Cardboard Slip, and plastic slip. All in the last year or so. The DVD cases was about first.

They used send them in cardboard sleeves wrapped in cellophane, ie useless for me to use again.

Then they started mummifying them in layers and layers of cheaply
decorated cardboard, which aside from being unwieldy for postmen, must
have used nigh on a whole rainforest to produce and distribute.

I recently accidentally sparked a king size fire last week. A spark from my lighter hit the milkweed cotton that was all over the place, that were extremely dry, and it poofed up a rather large forest fire that took out a small section of the forest completely.

hey,I'm a pyro, too. I have made napalm before and I have a whole wall decoration made out of 16 melted-together microwaved AOLame CDs. I also enjoy taking lighters that have an adjuster on them, modifying them to shoot a 10-cm flame and put them back where I got them. Fun to watch ppl trying to light up with those. Working on apotato cannon to match the capabilities of the Combine Pulse Rifle.
