Hello all!

I am new to snarkpit but wanted to drop by and let you know that several weeks ago, Punk Ass Fraggers HL2/CS: S site added a large files area that allows users to register an account and upload all their files. After they are validated, the public can download them.

In the 8 weeks since we launced this part of our site it's really taken off and has gotten well over 100,000 downloads.

Mappers, modelers and artists from around the world are using to host their files and I thought I would come by and let you know that it's their for you to use.

http://downloads.punkassfraggers.com is the URL. Check it out and see what you think.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Soopa

PS. It might interest you to know that we also have a new but growing mapping community at the PAF Forums and that one of our new moderators is none other than 3D-Mike (creator of the CS official map de_survivor). Come take a look at the great maps being made over at PAF.

Thanks very much for reading.

Will you pimp the hell out of my map?

Edit: BTW I can't figure out where I am supposed to upload the file.

Are we talking validating every map every time we upload it?

Presuming it's no killbox, mappers always will have free space on my
webserver, which has plenty of bandwidth to go spare. Feel free to
email over any files you like.

call me fickle, but i have issues with the URL :/

anyways, we have a few "none other" people of our own. i think i'll hang around here
its always nice however to be able to point the endless tired question "where can i get a host for my map" toward a site.

Figured out the uploading part. Nice site, domain name is cool. It's a game about killing people after all.

well,

punk ass is light hearted.

We don't take our selves too seriously. We're easy going and have fun playing the games. The community has been around for 5 years now releaseing add ons and packs etc.

As for the invite to check us out. I was by no means asking anyone to leave here and join my community. I was mearly inviting you all to check out some of the work being released by mappers from the PAF community.

Someone asked if each time they upload a file it has to be validated.

The answer is yes. The was the system is buily, a system administrator has to validate every file uploaded before it is downloadable by the public.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

it was just a taste/preference comment.

no insult was intended, anyone giving back to the community has at least my support, if only in a limited sense.

good luck and good fragging.

i cut the guy some slack and he still hits me from behind

as i said mouse in your last informative PM, you are creating a bleak future for us.

consider the generation gap, in my generation, someone who acts like you, is a punk. thats all i meant. it wasn't bad or good, just an observation.

bleak, its going to be bleak if you keep hitting me when i am not doing anything :/
