i made a sphere. i chopped it in half. i hollowed it
out. so its like a half a ball with 1 flat edge. I want to
delete that 1 flat edge so that i can make my spawn inside of the
ball.

an idea just hit me to put a sphere in there and just carve a hole, but
there must be an easier way. Is there a way to select just one
face just like when selecting 1 face to apply a texture. ????

select the hemishpere and press CTRL+U to ungroup it. then select the flat part and delete it

then select the rest of the pieces and press CTRL+G to group them back!

Well, perhaps he hasn't been back to the site and seen the reply? Not everyone frequents the place as much as you and I, Orph

Just a little addition to Nickel's answer - you can't delete a
face as such in hammer, but you can delete a single brush.
Nickel is suggesting you ungroup the pieces of your hemisphere and
delete the brush that is closing off the bottom of it. There is no real
way to create a single face in hammer - everything must be part of a
brush that has a volume (even if its only 1 unit thick).

granted, but i do recall vividly waiting for replies for problems i had while mapping. i also have been watching this board over the years, and on average, when i person takes hours to reply, they seldom do.

maybe its a trend, but it sure doesn't look right.

anywho's, a solution this simple (assuming its really the one) he prolly stumbled upon it and forgot us.
as for our frequency here.. with all the new members, i fell positively awed that there are some with even less life than i have, some of these people don't leave.
