MoneyShot's section is done (save the later revision to it). I got Sinner_D's section as well, dont know if its final or not though. I can send MS's section to Sinner_D so he can incorporate his section onto it. Then send it back to me. If that sounds like a plan.
As well, the easter egg idea, well, I dont know where that came from. But for now dont worry too much about that. Just make your sections. The sooner they are done, the sooner we can move forward with the map.
Comments?
As well, try to get your sections done ASAP please. I understand some of you cant go on the comp and map as they please but try your best.

I am still commited to doing a section, but as I have said, I think my senior thesis and GPA are a tad more important than mapping. I'll get on it right after finals, I promise

Ok, Sinner_D, I cant send you MS's section until late tonight. In like 5 or 6 hours. I have a little bit of fix 'em up to do first. So, I'll PM you a link then. Tracer Bullet, good luck with your studies. They take priority over the mapping. I guess I'll get started on my centerpiece soon as well.
DocRock, whats happening with your section? If its ready, send it over.
Doc Brasso, how goes your section as well?

my fourth rendition is almost complete, and i wish to confer with the folks providing the adjacent sections to me before sending it to you.....the reasons being:
1....yer gonna have yer hands full as it is trying to connect these puppies...
2....trying to stay within tolerable limits of size is well, a pain, as im known for pushing the limits on map sizes....
3.... just to maintain a bit of symmitry....(speeling?)
Doc Brass... :dodgy:
edit....the method of "passing the rmf around is , to me, a much better way to go....///just my 2 cents

Right now, Brasso, I have MoneyShot's section. When I get home from school, I'll fix up a few things and then send it to Sinner_D so he can incorporate his section onto it. Then the map will go back to me so I can look over it again. Then off to the next mapper (you?) so they can add in their own section to the rest.
Once I have a few sections added together, I'll put in the centerpiece.

Should work as long as people leave room for the centerpiece. Once I get the map back from Sinner_D (have to send it first though  ) Do you want to put your section up after that?

ok, i do agree that passing along an rmf is far more stable, however MS and I have already finished (or so we say) our sections, and im not sure who else has already done what. so if we are going to do this pass the rmf thing, we better get it started now before things get to much further. i am recieveing MS's section tonight and ill work as quick as possible to link them together, we could start there.
P.S. WC do you have a list of who's section is where? just so i know where to attach MS's section
Looks pretty good brasso, big but good, btw you do know were mapping this for HLDM not NS  just a suggestion...add some crate like things, the room is too open, nowhere to hide :O

CJ if you want in, just make a little something and then, we'll toss the map your way (eventually) and you can add in a section.

ok well...MS's section has a few problems.
Error: Entity 0, Brush 98: mixed face contents
Texture !FIRE1 and !FIRE1 Error: Entity 0, Brush 99: mixed face contents
Texture !FIRE1 and !FIRE1
Error: Entity 0, Brush 99: mixed face contents
Texture !FIRE1 and !FIRE1
Error: Entity 0, Brush 157: mixed face contents
Texture !FIRE1 and !FIRE1
ive never seen this error, so i dont know how to fix it. but it appears to have something to do with this "!FIRE1" texture...i removed all errored parts and are test compiling as we speak.
WC, ill send you the errored version (errored parts will be visgroup "FIRED") maybe you'll know how to fix it other then deleting

all that is telling you is that there is both a water and a non-water texture on the brush. (one that begins with "!") all you have to do is retexture the brush so it only contains water textures.

So, whats happening then? Wildcard, hopefully you got my PM, if people are interested I can post the download link I gave him here. It's pretty much teh shell of my section, mainly for linking and size type purposes. Once it's incorporated I'll go over it and put in more detail depending on the r_speed limitatioins that other peoples sections impose.

well, i tell ya.....i spose i better apologise now, because im gonna trash this section ive done , and start over.....but......this one will be my last rendition for this endevour gentlemen......so, a word of advice about my section,: wait till i get another one set, and dont put yer drawings in stone yet WC.......thanx for the patience...
Doc Brass... :dodgy:
and WC, i liked the first one i did, but it was entirely too big....someone else would have had to make a microsection, and that just wouldnt have been fair....

i am not the "ultimate source", by any means, but zoner is damn good about fixing any bugs that have arisen, and jumping right in peoples asses for bugging up thier custom builds, some im betting its not an fgd problem, unless yours has been corrupted somehow....just my 2 cents...

Well i was thinking what i could contribute but i was thinking that if you guys put all your sections together.. send me the rmf i will go threw spice it up and make sure the lighting is better than up to par. If that is cool with you guys
