After spending a lot of time on this, and various other forums I have finally managed to work up enough courage to confess I have no idea what some of you are saying.

imo/imho=?

tbh=Im guessing to be honest

<3=?

I think there should be an online dictionary for this. Anyways, anyone care to tell me what these things mean?

Er, there are online dictionaries for this (see Wikipedia or various 'urban' dictionaries or acronym finders).

I thought <3 was a heart.

I love it! you can say " I <3 gwil" then when gwil says
"mother russia poops on you!" I respond with "I </3 gwil" (thats a
broken heart) Its way better than waisting time typing my feelings out.
