I finally got my tablet in today in the mail. I'm so excited. I should be able to color some kick ass things now.

Here's the one I bought incase your curious. It was suppose to be a Christmas present but I had to wait a little longer.

I just finished installing the drives and the bundled software (it came with painter and photoshop). Now if I can figure out how to switch the damn tips on this pen I'll be in business.

One has a small spring that makes if feel like a brush. Another is rough and feels almost like charcoal. Then I got three spares of just the regular smooth tip.

It cost me around $320 (not absolutely positive but I'm sure that is the price).

It was worth it though. Its not like I'll be buying anything anytime soon.

Edit: yep just checked the price and its $330. That's a lot of money but I'll have the thing for many years from now. I can't wait till I start to get good with it though.

Congrats on your investment. I always get giddy when people join the Wacom club~@! Seriously though, if you use it, the Wacom can be an awesome tool for pushing your drawing/painting abilities. It's gonna feel weird at first, and you are going to have to develop a method of using it (how to use the sensitivity, use opacity level..etc). Give yourself an hour every day, if possible, to just draw...no matter the quality. Before you know it, you will be a master of the Wacom.

Congrats!!!

I got the chance to use it today for and after reading up on it some more and changing out the pens for different feelings I have to say I'm in love with this thing. I love the texture of the pen and tablet. No slipping or feeling like your coloring on carpet. I also like the fact that you can hover the pen a few centimeters above the tablet and still see where your brush strokes are going. It allows for me to keep my eyes on the monitor the entire time. Overall this has to be on of the best peices of hardware and artistic devices I have ever used. Its great and I can now recommended one with great honesty.
