I set off tomorrow at about 1pm, GMT. Consider this my "last post" of
sorts. If you're interested, there's a journal up at http://www.gwil.org

So, Aussies - sign up your details here if youre old enough to get
drunk. Even otherwise say hi, I'm willing to make detours to see them
all.

So this is it..

Goodbye folks - look after my server, and don't get yourself banned

Hold on. I don't quite get it. You're only moving to Australia, and there shouldn't be any need to bid farewell.

I know for a fact that Australians have internet connections too. Why can't you post from Down Under?

I actually proposed in Melbourne a year ago, and I have a few good friends there. Have fun.

P.S. Real Australians don't drink Foster beer. Just ask any of the locals.

Well he isn't "moving" per se - he is going on a long, working holiday.
He won't have many of his worldly belongings with him, such as a
computer. He will no doubt pop in now and then, but he is going on a
holiday and will surely wanna make the most of it, not spend countless
hours idling on the forums and IRC

Anyway mate, I hope you have a wonderful trip. You'd best keep that blog updated or I'll be really rather miffed  Have fun!

Ahh, there you go. I am just worried that he might go through a rough withdrawal.

Geez, Australia has ISPs too, so why the farewell sensation of this thread? Be optimistic; I hear Australia is a great country.

If you've seen Mad Max you know what Australia is like. Do you know how many people I have had to brutaly kill to scrounge together the parts for this computer?

But don't worry Gwil, I'll be there with my posse of road warriors to make sure you don't get robbed and killed. And Mel's dropping by on Monday, so we might be able to head down to the Thunder Dome one night, or perhaps take out a gang of petrol scrounging bikies.

I'd be more scared of Harold from Neighbours...there's something about him that makes me think 'sex offender'.

Heh, I'm sure they'll "experiment" with that storyline soon enough (assuming Harold doesn't die this year... :x
