I finally decided to set myself up a website of my own. I have 0 web
editing skills so I just set one up using freewebs. I probably keep it
for a year or two till I finally find a job and learn HTML. Anyways
some of the site is still underconstruction but the Home, Links, and
Tutorials and Tips pages are done. Check them out if you like.

Very simple and easy to navigate. Easy on the eyes and nice color theme. Looks really nice, although we all know you didn't code that yourself. Looks better than my site and probably took 1/1000th of the time!

No I didn't code it myself. I just used Freewebs. I picked the dark
green template because it was easy on the eyes and kinda looked like
the Pixel Reviews on Valve ERC.

Nice, no ads or other stuff covering half the screen either. How much space do you get? Any file types that aren't allowed?

I've been thinking about setting up a website too, but first I'd need something to put there.

Why in God's name would you learn HTML AFTER getting a job? Not to mention it takes only about a day to learn the entire language. (Takes a couple days to get in good habits ... like ending ALL of your tags  )

Not to mention in web-design the important, heavy hitting languages are much more complex (Java Script and PHP for example XML is something that you would use in a professional environment more then anything else though) and much more useful.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

To have money to pay for a site of course of course, and no I will not eat green eggs and ham in a box with a fox.

Errr, but you have a site already - thats what this thread is about
isn't it? Why not just learn HTML and make something for that?

Your site looks ok, but the fact that it's a free template really turns
it down for me. I've seen such templates a bit too much y'know...

Learning html yourself isn't really difficult indeed. I used Frontpage
for quite a while but once I learned a bit about the tags myself I
quickly went over to html (using Notepad++, which allows syntax
highlighting for a variety of languages) and css (which can save a lot
of time and allows some good extra options for the look of a site). php
isn't that hard either, when you have some experience with programming.

As for freewebs, I've had my site on websamba.com for several years.
Offers 30 MB for free (and there's a way to get around the add by using
some sort of url-workaround).

Take a look here http://www.x3x.biz/?page=services

I think Biopulse has his site there. And they offer a bit more space too.
