I'm working on my cs_cityride map for CS:S. After compiling I saw in
compile process window, that I need to give commend "buildcubemaps" in
game engine to make reflect effect. So I run my map and done it. Also I
made waypoints for bots. When waypoints are done, map is restarting. I
played with bots and I saw, that props in shadow within player models
are very black, what I didn't see before restart. I checked original
maps, and there models were normally lighted. I check also other
downloaded map (de_kabul) where I didn't build cubemaps. That was fine,
before I built cubemaps.

Are doors and trash bins so black?

I usually get that when I Alt+Tab out of CS:S and come back to the game.

Do you still have the problem after restarting CS:S?

This happens to me in HL2DM too, since the latest update. I assume it
will be fixed soon as I know no other solution for the time being...

It happens even I restart the computer.

I had compiled my map again without using vis and made cubemaps. After that console window is still opened. I saw there this:

"(...)

bounce: 1/1 sample: 28/30

bounce: 1/1 sample: 29/30

bounce: 1/1 sample: 30/30

Creating default cubemaps for env_cubemap using skybox cx...

"

And this is the end... Why there isn't write "cubemaps created." or
something like that? I think I've got CS:S with bug. I saw in console
also some bugs "ERROR: could not find righthand.mdl model." or
something like that in red colour... Maybe I compile cs_cityride with
vis, than send in e-mail to someone who can build cubemaps. Who want to
(try) help me??? But I need to be sure that person built cubemaps
sucessful before.

lol? there isn't anything that says "cubemaps created".

Your cubemaps are ALREADY done. When it has stopped displaying all
those square thingies it shows, your cubemaps are done :smile: in case you
actually put the env_cubemaps :biggrin:

Only thing you need to do after building cubemaps is restart the map. Then you can see if they worked or not just fine.

About the black prop problem, did you gave this map to a friend already
to see if he had the same problem with your map? Maybe it's not a
problem with your map but a problem only on your machine?
