I just DL this, and have been trying it.. I like it so much I may buy it.

With this shell replacement you can add, remove a bunch of different
things. you can set your shell upto just load what you need for a given
task, and then with a handy shell changer built in, load a new shell to
do something else if you like.

For instance built in to the shell are like 12 themes. one is office,
it loads your office required stuff.. I guess you could make a mapping
theme ( i use theme cause im not sure what else to call it. ) and just
have it load into the background the programs and info you need to do
that task, giving you more memory and speed to handle your mapping
project.

There is a thread called the big list of handy desktop applications...

I do'nt use any of that stuff, it really slows down your computer, especailly Windowblinds.

Yeah, I stick to basic Windows interface. It's already loaded up with stuff that I don't need, so I have no need for additional eye candy.

If there was a good shell replacement, where you close explorer.exe and
start another program, that would be cool. There is one, called
something like gamerOS, but its not really useful for anything but
saving memory as it limits you to something like a start menu. All this
other crap that uses vast amounts of memory just to look cool doesn't
float my boat. And I especially wouldn't pay a damn dime for it. The
little launcher dock thing from stardock (program caled StarDock?) that
is basically a quicklaunch bar with icons that get bigger when you
mouse over them (like KDE or Mac) took something like 120MB of RAM on
my computer. My point is, a good, intuitive, memory-conscious shell
replacement would roxor j00 and windowblinds suxorz. I would actually
pay for a good shell replacement, but as I said, not a damn dime for a
slick, memory-consuming interface.

Added moments later:

HAHA, I went off on a rant without even looking at the page... it IS a
shell replacement. In that case I'll have to check it out. How is the
memory consumption with Talisman?

Also check out Serenade.. it too is a shell replacement, with much less to offer.

Yeah I guess I should of said shell replacment and not a GUI interface.
