I beg apology to those that do not celebrate some form of Christmas be it religiously based or just using it as a reason to be merry.
My question is simple. What kind of music do you like during the holidays?
EXAMPLES:
Classical-Traditional? IE Carol of the bells played with bells.
Modern? IE Carol of the bells by Kenny G
I admit, my examples of each type are a bit poor, but they will give you a clue to my meaning.
I would consider any music remade to be modern assuming it was remade within modern times of course (Country,Rock,Pop,Soul, etc). I would consider Carol of the bells by the Vienna boys choir to be classical. Hope that makes sense.

I voted Traditional. Bing Crosby all the way.

Just got James Blunt: Back to Bedlam, and for some reason that's
becoming my Christmas music. Mostly though, I listen to the same
Zep/Pantera that I usually do.

I guess I throw in some Harry Connick Jr. around Christmas. He's awesome, but yeah, mostly no change.

I prefer traditional classic but really, Christmas music is a mood thing. Most times I want songs with no words playing softly in the background but sometimes I want the more boisterous loud ones with lots of volume and singing.
