Update ... it works now ... for undisclosed reasons.
(Clusterfrank of a situation. Culmination of three or so minor non-issues appeared to be system failures)
Everything is good now. The card works well.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Yep. Hopefully it's a return to form and not a heap of trash like the last one.
Also, my whole computer is up and running now and ... the performance is staggering. I haven't been able to top the CPU out yet. I got it to 48% in a game benchmark.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

I forgot to tell you. The new TV/Monitor I bought on black friday, you were right. The box was mislabled.
It said 720p. My TV runs 1080p. 1920x1080
Yeah for them being wrong, in the right way.
With your new PC/vid card, what are you using to measure the fps?
An outside program or is it an editing enable option?
The best things in life, aren't things.

I'm just checking game benchmarks ran on my system. They're generally more stressful than normal gameplay is anyway. So, you'll likely be running it higher than what they're showing. (Crysis 1 for example has a huge fly way overhead through faster than you could ever run through the map, which is what makes the performance dip)
You can activate some tools in various games, though. But it usually involves cheats, so I haven't done it on this since it's a live game and I'd like to be able to play online (if the server it connects to is anti-cheat enabled, my live account would get banned D:)
Also, you can tell the ballpark it's in. If things are running ultra smooth, it's generally in the 50+ fps range. If they're running well, with no noticeable blurring or lagging it's above 30.
If you get dips where stuff kind of looks like it blurs together (but not well) then you're dipping down into the 23-28 range. If it's noticeable stutter, you're sub 20s.
This does have dips when I play it (as the environment is huge) but it's still running faster than it did on the old machine. It generally is smooth, though. And ... considering everything I can turn up is up, that's not too bad.
