Since I think the last thing this site needs is another "Recently ..." thread, I'll toss this up in here.
I picked up the revived Electronic Gaming Monthly and GameFan today. The articles are just as thoughtful as they were in their hay-day, and GameFan is just as glorious to look at.
I strongly suggest you track them down. EGM is being widely distributed in the US ... GameFan is not, I had to go to a Barnes and Noble to find it, and it was the last one (slightly damaged also).
But if you remember reading these mags in the 90s and loving them, you should definitely track their revivals down (by founding members, no less) and check them out.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

The site reboot has no affiliation with the reboot of the magazine. They're separate.

Yeah, you don't even need to download it right now, just add it to your account, then you own it forever.

You guys know how I am about people driving and phones? Well three weeks ago some asswipe rear ended me at over 50 mph. He was texting and never saw me. The insurance company totalled my truck. The only brake marks on the road were mine as he pushed me. We ended up 120 feet from the point of impact. Sadly, the only pics I have are in my phone and I dunno how I'd get them posted here.
Lucky for us we (the wife and I) only got bumps/bruises and one fractured arm.
I broke my own rule by not looking in my rear view mirror before applying my brakes and it costed me.
Lucky for us we were in my truck. Had it been the car the cost might have been much higher.
The best things in life, aren't things.

A couple years ago (or so) my Samsung plasma TV was having some issues with color separation. Samsung came out and deemed to needed a new panel, they replaced it. The TV, at purchase, supported 480i/p, 720i/p, and 1080i. I would set things to 720p, in general, since progressive scan is a larger pro than more resolution. Well, I was looking around the PS3 settings today and ... the TV not only displays 1080p, but also 1080p 24hz mode!
I guess when they swapped out the panel, they gave it a pretty new one!

Is there a thread similar to this one, but only for funny stuff? I'm to lazy to do some searching. ^^

Ant's like most insects, have class roles. Unlike in humanity, these are not imposed by culture, but rather genetics. They follow pheromones, simple as that, there is no higher brain function "choice".
