Any way, I was wondering. Since this site is full of techies (and
maybe some not so techy) what would be your prefered method for
downloading.

I ask this because ever since I got my new, constant wi-fi internet
connection, I've been a downloading maniach. I prefere
bit-torrent so that I can efficiently download while Im at class or
work. But hate it when the person with the last seed jumps
off-line. 30 gigs of downloads and counting.
You know, I've actually got nothing to say

Well, I use ALL of them. if i need a song for something, I would use KaZaA. If i was getting some kind of software or soemthing, I would use BT. If I want to download pictures or games, I just use IE.

I don't actually use bit torrent anymore, because I don't DL software and movies anymore. I also dont use Kazaa except maybe once a month to get a song I heard off TV.

Like Nickel, I use them all. But you should change it from BitTorrent
to just Torrents. Because not everyone used BitTorrent, I use Azureus
personally. It is much better then any other torrent program. For an
individual song (which I don't do very often) I use Limewire (P2P). For
pictures and such I use Firefox. And for most music and movies I
Azureus (Torrents). I find Torrents to be the best thing. Because I can
download CDs or all the CDs of a band instead of one song. Also the
movies are much better qualtiy and download faster. I don't have a
problem with seeds, you just have to know where the right places to get
the torrent are  .

Psh... torrents.

I p2p. Limewire.

I tend to buy all my music nowadays, but if I want some stuff on impulse I'll download it.

I use HTTP/FTP as much as I can, but if theres something I really want I'll use BitTorrent. By the way, BT is not only the name of the program, its the name of the protocol, so the poll is correct (I think). I dont use any other peer to peer programs, I dont really download enough to.

Listen gents. I am the last person to say this but: 30 gigs of downloads is kinda suspicious.

The poll looks legit on the surface, but with that line thrown in its blatantly a poll on questionable material and Snarkpit cannot have a poll like that.

Ben, reword your poll or I fear its removal.

There are plenty of legit downloads that can use each choice but, no one downloads gigs without another priority for doing so.

I support Snarkpits stand on questionable content. They do so for the right reasons.

Again, polls need an "other" choice.

So are you saying it is a trap to get Snarkpit in trouble? Because if
that's so I'm in deeeps**t, I have way more then 30 gigs or downloaded
material.

Torrents are a great way of getting mod installs and other large files.
Last thing I torrented was the Empires mod installer. Well actually it
was the 1.01 update for it, but the last big file was the installer.
