Argg... To many images for my connection.
Is this by any chance a movie about the comic?

A port you say? Hope it turns out to be better than Judge Dredd and X-men.

Seriously, when you adapt something to a movie you don't need to keep the time line ... it's an adaptation. What they've done with X-Men is fantastic. You couldn't possibly expect them to salvage 300+ universes and several thousands of issues and make a coherent time-line, can you? And, just to let you know all the characters in the movies are featured in the 80s and 90s at least even if their original source material is from the 50s and 60s. Also, the basis for the second movie is a story arc from the 80s uncanny series, I believe. The only details they changed were details about who William Stryker is, it's still fantastic. If you want a comic book movie that's exactly like the comic watch Fantastic Four, it's also, just as bad as the comic. (Sin City is almost word for word) X-Men, Spider-Man, and most all of the marvel franchises are too large to be precise and honestly, I don't know whens the last time you read them but most X-Men series blow ass chunks. Cool ideas, terrible delivery.
Ghost Rider comic blows ass and Mark Steven Johnson is not a good film maker. As much as I enjoyed Daredevil, the movie really pisses me off, because it's not made properly. That should be one of the darkest comic to film transfers period and it's not even close. In addition Cage is a terrible actor ... nor is he young enough to play Johnny Blaze. (The only run of the comic I liked was the Ennis run, that was fantastic.)
On top of all this the movie has Eva Mendez.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Actually, yes. I can expect it.
The characters in the Xmen series, both villain and goodguy are numerous enough to have retained the timeline easily. Hell, they aren't even initiating Beast until movie 3. He was an original.
I don't care what you say, there is plenty of story line available to have made the movies with the correct characters involved for the time periods.

Not listening again? I said there's too many characters. Also, the older comics are really bad and would not fly as the basis for a movie. No matter how "close" they are to the comics, that wouldn't make them good, in fact that would make them worse.
[PMed this part]
Too many holes in you're shoddy one line comment.
Enough derailment.

Yeah, I saw this trailer last night at one attached to one of the XMen prints (my theatre picked up 5 copies.) I thought the graphics where great, I'm feeling that the story might faill. At this point, I'm skeptical at whether or not the movie will be good at all.
--extra--Yup, this is on the X3 trailer-pack. I was up their lastnight at 1:00 in the morning waiting for @%#&ing Da Vinci to drop (finish) which droped 40 minute after the second to last movie. So while I ended up being the last person on the job (Every single manager and suppervisor on duty went to the 1:00 screening), those 40 minutes I spent in front of X3. So far, the first 25 mins (15 mins of trailers) seem very intresting. I'll be heading to work tonight to watch a screening at a more reasonable time.

Oh, if anyone goes to see Xmen, sit through the credits. There's an extra 'something' at the end that's worth the wait.

Yeah, I almost missed that too, it was great. I was walking out of the auditorium when a o-worker mentioned there being somthing at the end of the credits and questioning what was going on. I felt I had to find out, walked back in and it was a great little addon as to what was discussed earlier.
Hint: pay good attention to the begining of X3 and you'll understand what the "after credits" means.
