I had a couple scary dreams the past few nights. A notable one involved snarkpit:
[start dream]
I came to snarkpit to see what was going on, any new maps/updates/anything and I "hear" Addicted to Morphine saying, "Some of the maps are still in the archive so they aren't completely deleted". Thinking "Huh?" I wandered into the maps section and found all the maps back to around map # 500 had been deleted. I then darted to the forums to find all the posts deleted in the maps section. "Noo," I thought, "residential! All my suggestions and comments... all gone!" Back at the homepage I found a new news post stating that the site had been hacked. Everybody was running around frantic (I guess in my dream, snarkpit was a real place or something). I can't quite remember what happened next, but then my alarm went off and woke me up.. I darted out of bed thinking "oh, that was a dream, of course.. damnit." I hit snooze and laid back down and the same exact dream popped back into my head and continued.. people were trying to search for and restore archives but nobody could find any.. [alarm goes off] "That was also a dream! Or.." and by the time I hit snooze and fell asleep again having the same dream continue a bit more I just had to get up and go check Snarkpit to make sure it was still here. Whew. That was a close one.
Anybody have any interesting dreams to share?

I had a dream that would make George W. Bush proud.
I was in NYC, the day the planes crashed and somehow I knew it before it happened. Then I look up and see one of the planes flying towards the tower. But it was really weird. Yea, even weirder than in reality. The plane comes in at this really low height, right above my head and it's standing nose-up. It's flying like a huge cross (nothing religious, you know me) like a weird robot with his arms spread flying foward. Not like any real airplane would fly. It looked so brutal. It hit the tower at low speed but cuts right through it.
The definition of nightmare.

Wtf? I searched the forums before I posted this! Seriously...
I only came up with a few irrelevant posts and one about a dream someone had, but no threads dedicated to it... Sigh.. don't trust that Search feature.

All the heated debates nowadays are buried on page 6 or 7 of otherwise benign looking threads.

Any thread over 50 posts called 'Flowers and Happiness' has people yelling about homosexuality, religion etc.

I haven't really participated in any of the Recently thread, save Watched.. I agree that the later ones are really just getting redundant and annoying.. "Recently Fought", like that's something that happens (or even should happen) pretty often...
I thought there might be some cool stories with this one, but I guess not...

Haha, how bizarre.
I had a rather weird one but I didn't post it.. oh yeah, now I remember. Not really a dream, but a "sleep experience". Some background: for the summer (more specifically, the last three weeks of summer or so, unfortunately) I got a job as a cashier (though I'm continuing into the school year, maybe throughout, we'll see).. anyways, so the experience was kind of related to that.
I dreamed that I was at the cashwrap and some customers were coming up to me with some clothes they wanted me to ring up, so I started taking off all the hangers (quite an annoying procedure, since often the neck of the shirt is too small and you have to slip it out the bottom, etc). So anyways, I was thinking to myself "Damnit, why do they have all these clothes.. I wish I could tell them to go away, I'm trying to sleep" all the while kind of smiling and ringing them up.. apparently this was accompanied by some real-life arm movement since I woke up when a loud clatter indicated I'd knocked a DVD case on the table by my bed onto the floor.
So I didn't really "wake up" and realize it was a dream, I just kind of thought "oops, I must have moved my arm and knocked it over, whatever" and went back to bed. Keep in mind this is the night before school the next day for the first time in a couple months so I'm trying to get a good sleep. So I fall asleep again and the same thing happens - people come up with clothes. Now I'm thinking like "What the f**k? I need to get some sleep" and was on the verge of telling them to just leave because I was closed down for the night.. but I rang them up anyways.
So once more it happened and I just said "Look, I'm closed, you'll have to find someone else to ring you up. I'm trying to get some sleep.".. and somehow ended ringing them up anyways because I felt guilty. Then I kind of snapped awake and found myself holding the cord and the socket which it connects to my heated blanket as if it were a hanger and a shirt I was removing it from before flinging it over the edge of the bed where it belonged in fury and forcing myself to sleep.
It didn't happen again.
