On some people's map threds they have a over head shot that looks like it was taken in game. http://www.snarkpit.net/forums.php?forum=2&topic=7463&5 (second from the bottom)
I have no idea what you call it or how to do it, but i like to know how. Help would be appreciated.

If I understand what you're asking, just enter these two commands in console:

sv_cheats 1
noclip

It allows you to fly around and go through walls.

Its cl_leveloverview X (you have to start at 1 and raise it until you
reach a good view of the entire map) thats gonna get you a perfect
overview. But you also want to do what Baron said, and fly over the top
of the map so you can see everywhere.

Thanks. That would work too, but I'm currently making a Death Mach map. Your answer was actually closer to what i asked, but Snickers was what i was looking for.
