Yeah so its just a few days till the IGF. And I hadn't asked if anyone from the pit was going to be there. If you have 1500$ and managed to get a pass, look me up at the ES station  .

Dystopia won the HL2 Mod of the Year at the festival last year and the prizemoney went into maintaining the sites and getting some tshirts printed.

Not quite sure who's nominated this year, but I wish everyone good luck. If ES is nominated, I definitely want them to win!

I quite liked Eternal-Silence, but it didn't have the pulling power to keep me interested for very long. I can't even find you guys on the Steam stats page, and this disappoints me. It seems that only high-profile mods get a reasonable amount of player attention nowadays (Dystopia, Gmod, and I imagine Insurgency and Black Mesa when they come out).

Nevertheless, I hope your player base comes back with your 2.3beta release. I know I'm eagerly waiting to give it a go. Good luck, and have a good time at the festival.

I'm in the area, and I was thinking of going, but the tickets are too pricey for the GDC and IGF events.

$1500 is quite pricy. Have fun at the even omegaslayer, and good luck (if there's a competition of some kind)!

You'll hate me even more to know that im not paying a dime for this. As perks of winning best multiplayer fps mod of the year you get free floor passes and 2 giga passes (the 1500$ pass). But we're going to switch them around and hop into sessions we all want to go to. FYI you can volunteer as a floor associate, and get giga pass access for free. Its too late to sign up for this year, but it is something you can do in the future if you wanted to go.

If you got it by winning the best multiplayer mod of the year it's just even more awesome, congratulations!

Well we didn't win best mod of the year, that went to weekday warrior. I wont rant here, but needless to say we weren't happy.

Good news was I networked with a lot of people (cough president of epic games, President of Tripwire productions, Kim from valve). It was really fun, and if any of you are thinking of breaking into the gaming industry, then I highly recommend you go to this conference.
