Does anyone have any ideas as to what HEV stands for?

Farthest I've got is Hazardous Environment... something.

"Welcome to the HEV Mark 4 Protective Systems, for use in Hazardous Environment Conditions"

"Moving around in your HEV can be slightly disorienting at first..." At first? I'm in a constant state of disorientation.

I actually was thinking about the wonders of the HEV suit myself recently. I noticed that when playing, I can run backwards up a flight of stairs that I hadn't even seen, which is very difficult to do in the real world (without falling, of course). It's like a car for your body... maybe Hazardous Environment Vehicle?

Or maybe it would just be incredibly bad and frustrating game design to have the player fall down when going up stairs backwards
