Half-Life 2 so much for freeman

This is my entry for the snarkpit 'map from base' singleplayer mapping challenge. Regardless of how the challenge pans out, I plan on developing this map further, and extending the gameplay beyond what I've built.

We'll call this an 'alternate history' if you will; a spin off scenario that puts you, Gordon Freeman, captive of the brutal Combine - being marched off to a quick death. The end is near.... or is it?

Edit.... this map has been EXTENDED!! I've completed round 2 of the snarkpit mapping challenge by continuing with this singleplayer map. I decided to try and cram round 2 into the same bsp... the result is a fairly large map. Let me know if anyone has problems running it, as I may end up splitting it into 2 maps. Once again, I plan to continue developing this further.

Half-Life 2 Courtyard

This is a medium sized playing area with most of the emphasis on visual aspects. N.P.C.s will be added (it would be a waste not to) but at the moment I would like some advice on how it looks. I also used a completely new tactic for making this map: I didn't make a floor or a sky or a box and then populate it. I made what the buildings and stuff first and put them at lots of different angles etc. When I was happy with everything I added the ground and the sky. This was indeed tricky and leaded to some inefficient spaces but overall I am pleased with the result. I think of this as a little "island" map that I do before episode 2 comes out. I probably won't be doing anything after this until after episode 2 comes out.

There was a file missing in the last .zip file, but I have now replaced that with a new .zip with everything in it. Also, the entities in this map took me two months, so I hope you like it!

detected a secret underground base which is occupied
by the combine. You are dropped at an abandoned warehouse
which is the only link they have to the underground
base...

This map is really bad but im working on another map and it's heaps better

As some of you know, I'm an architecture student. I've decided to make an example map showcasing the most common methods of making buildings. For those who wish to know more about this particular field of study, the map will show you the ins and outs of a building in different stages of construction. Hopefully, someone might decide to think twice before making a brick wall break into solid concrete or making paper-thin walls or floors!
A map with no relation to real construction might look good, if you take certain things into consideration, it might look even better!

Half-Life 2 Zombie Stress

Zombie stress is a Half Life 2 Single Player modification, which instead of giving you some complicated story or long winded puzzels to over come gives you what you want... zombies!

VERSION 1.1 OUT NOW

Removing the need for stories to interest you, this small mod is designed to just allow you to relieve some stress by giving you 3 different styles of zombie destruction with many weapons.

Completion Percentage

Map 1 = 100% [worth 25% total]

Map 2 = 100% [worth 25% total]

Map 3 = 100% [worth 25% total]

Other... = 100% [worth 25% total]

Total Competion: 100%

The Maps

Map 1: Plain Zombie Killing

This map is designed to be the most fun and yet the most destrictive one. You start off in a room and your job is just to hack, blast, saw and shoot your way through the collective of about 80 zombies, 1 poison zombie, and 3 speed zombies.

Weapons: Crowbar, Gravity Gun, SMG, Rocket Launcher, Shot Gun, Cross Bow, AR2

Map 2: Hunt A Zombie

Work your way through a Combine training maze which has been infested with Zombies. With this map you will be able to utilize the combine turret to fight against the Zombie hords. This one is a bit darker then the last, but keep your gravity gun and shot gun close, you will be neededing them.

Weapons: Crowbar, Gravity Gun, SMG, Rocket Launcher, Shot Gun, Cross Bow, AR2, Magnum

Map 3: Escape From Zombie Land

After escaping from the combine area, you find your way into a small closed off street which has had some Zombie intervention, work your way to the top of the building to open the doors to finally escape from zombie land.

The sequel to my surprisingly popular (judging by all the email I got) Day 13, is finally finished. I am so sick of Hammer now, that I have banned myself from loading it again for at least a month.

A short Half Life 2 single-player scenario.

Story
You are Dr Gordon Freeman (surprise!).

For the last 12 days and nights, you have been incarcerated by the Combine in a "Re-education facility".

Each day so far, you have been forced to partake in "simulations", which fortunately so far have been somewhat harmless.

You can't help wonder what they have in store for you next.....
....on DAY 13.

Difficulty:

Easy if you know how.
Very hard if you don't!

Making this scenario has taken almost all of my free time for the last six weeks. I hope you enjoy it.

It is also my first Single Player release.

Half-Life 2 sp_vertico

After successfully leading the Uprising against the Combine forces and obliterating the Citadel single-handedly, you have been chosen to be teleported into a strategic missile silo and infiltrate into the base.

Your objective is to trigger yet another reactor explosion that will destroy the valuable generators inside the missile base.

This is a relatively short map that takes less than ten minutes to finish. It is adapted from dm_vertico and its main purpose is to orient a new player to this multiplayer map.

Half-Life 2 Save the Zombies Updated

This is a relaxation/exploration/enjoy the music/button pushing/flying/floating/ skating with and saving the Zombies.
It's a break from the typical kill the crap out of everything, everywhere, all the time, get your blood pressure up game.
Zombies were people once and you can help them become people again. Remove those headcrabs and reverse the process.
Protect them as you lead them to a safe place underground where they can get medical attention, take a swim, shoot some pool,
dance or just get tanked at the bar. Read the readme files and please install the sound files. It's quite the dead map without the music.
