Counter Strike Source cs_depot

A CS map that is set in a warehouse/trainyard/office complex. Its kind of a mix between office and train. Have finished all layout brush work, most detail brush work, all of the texturing, about all the prop placement, and 99% of the lighting. The only big thing left is the 3D-skybox.

The current download is for the first beta version, and the final version.

Counter Strike Source zm_need_backup_b1

So im fan of CSS zombiemod so i decided to make map which is balanced between zombies and humans.

There is lot of great maps but those are always every time ruined by easy camping places (of course for humans :P) so it makes it boring to be zombie or aswell if you are in camp place which is impossible for zombies its also boring.

Map name "zm_need_backup" popped up cause theres no place where u could solo against zombies. The reason is theres always 2-3 ways for zombies to get camping places.

I will say that in this map it is easyer to defend one camp place if someone defends other camp place because everytime zombies conquer one camp place they get one more way to defeat another place.

EXAMPLE: There is tree house and this old ruined building. If u get to the treehouse you can go to treehouse roof and run to the ruined building roof. You can also run from ruined building roof to the treehouse roof. These thigs stacs with every camp place in this map.

And sry for my bad english but i hope everyone gets the point.

Counter Strike Source de_Substructure

de_Substructure is a bomb defuse map based in a underground structure of a vague purpose. (original and ambiguous!)

From the CT's prospective the map starts in a deep underground waterway and moves on a general upward direction to the T spawn point witch is at the top of the map. There is much more i could say but i'll let the screens do the rest.

Counter Strike Source tr_sniper_*

There are two maps included within this download. Neither are there for specific mission objectives, but just to train if you wish your sniper skills.

On both maps its 3 v 1. You being the one. The bots do have buy zones, obstacles and objectives for them to complete. (Such as the CT's recuse a hostage, and the T's plant a bomb).

tr_sniper_ct = this map is for those who join to play as the Counter Terrorists against the Terrorists.
tr_sniper_ter = this map is for those who join to play as the Terrorists against the Counter Terrorists.

Please note, these maps are just a bit of fun and are not designed to be amazing. So posting comments like "this map is amazing" is not what we're here to get. We just want to give you something for you to become a better cs player.

Following a successful mission which involved your team of freedom fighters versus the counter terrorists, you managed to overwhelm the enemy and get the hostages out of harms way. But on entering a new part of town you have recieved word that there is another team of counter terrorists heading your way from an American Embassy.

Mission Objectives
Counter Terrorists:
Head south where you will find the group of hostages. Remember there are two roots to this place, so be warned of the enemy choosing one route and you being on it. Shoot to kill.

Terrorists
Stop the Counter Terrorists from extracting the hostages, you must eliminate all enemy forces. Backup will be arriving soon at your current position to extract the hostages to an undisclosed location. Where further demands can be made for your gain.

de_Strife is a medium to large sized map that takes place in a group of storage warehouses. I started this map while I was working on other projects for the mod Off-Limits. My goal was to make a very balanced map and I think I accompished that pretty well after lots of playtesting in my computer class at school. It is a Defuse map that supports 32 players.

I spent the last couple days making this map.

The map features full optimization (I have many years experience with half life (1 and 2) mapping. I know how to work visleafs, func_details and hint brushes very well, so there is no questioning the FPS during runtime.

The map has a sewer who's water level can be raised by throwing a lever, the raising of the water disrupts other parts of the map (not all the map).
Nowhere on the map is perfectly safe, albeit a few cozy places for 1 person, but still killable.

It's a good map that offers dynamic gameplay and a lot of defensive strategies.

A hostage rescue map inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's Kaufmann House.

This version is a reduced version of the HL2 map (the guest house is not present, for example)

All the artwork in the house was made by the map author and belongs to him. All the textures are either Valve's work or the author's work. The geometry was also built by the author based on information found freely around the world wide web.

There are 4 hostages in the house. CT forces have the advantage of a quicker trip to the hostages, but terrorists can use the many terraces and exits of the house to take out the CTs. Due to the nature of the building, there are multiple ways to approach and defend the house, making each round different.

The performance is still far from optimal, specially when it comes to long-range battles. Hopefully, this map will be more playable as computers become more powerful, who knows. There are several occluders placed to help performance but they don't help as much as we would like... Use HDR only if your computer can handle it. The LDR lighting looks a bit more yellow while the HDR has a prettier orange light. This could be fixed with another 5 hour compile, so I'm sorry if you don't like how the LDR version looks.

A lot of graphical changes were done to the map. Higher-res pictures, more accurate stone textures, better lighting using smoothing groups, HDR and fixed "most" of the lightmap grid problems. Most of the windows and doors now use 2D textures to help with performance. It might not look as good as the HL2 version in that sense, but good performance was seen as more important. The river now uses a new custom material which is refractive, scrolling and mildly reflective. It looks better than the static HL2 water, fits the situation better and also helps with performance.
