Info: Night Vision based map. Please note that cause of layout of the map,
helicopters and air strikes are rendered almost pointless. The UAV
will be the most useful asset.

Installation: Unzip the folder mp_darkroom.zip
Create the folder usermaps/ in you Call of Duty 4 folder

e.g. ../Call of Duty 4/usermaps/

Then create the folder mp_darkroom/ in side the usermaps/ folder

e.g. ../Call of Duty 4/usermaps/mp_darkroom

In usermaps/mp_darkroom/ place "mp_darkroom.ff" and "mp_darkroom_load.ff"
Then copy "mp_darkroom.iwd" and paste it in to you mod directorories

e.g. ../Call of Duty 4/Mods/customMaps/mp_darkroom.iwd
e.g. ../Call of Duty 4/Mods/ModWarfare/mp_darkroom.iwd

Description

This is my first map for Call of Duty 4 that isn't sniper only.
Original map was made for Vcod & UO by Sgt Daniel R O'neil and it was a very big hit.
I have done a COD2 (available on Codutility and on my website) version. This is the first time i add all gametypes so feel free to comment or suggest me some modifications in order to have better gameplay (be accurate and put some screenshots if needed)

Supported Game Features

*: You must be running a mod that implements these features.

Installation:
  • Browse to your Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare install folder
(Normally "C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare")
  • If there is a folder called "usermaps", browse to that folder, if not then
create it now.
  • In the "usermaps" folder create a new folder and call it "mp_fr_mogadishu"
  • Put the following files in the newly created "mp_lpost" folder:
mp_fr_mogadishu.ff
mp_fr_mogadishu_load.ff
mp_fr_mogadishu.iwd
  • The map is now installed. To uninstall simply delete the "mp_fr_mogadishu" folder
Tested with:
Basic operation has been verified* with the following mods: *: When I say verified, I mean I can start a server with the relevant mod and the
map loads and runs each supported gametype as expected without any errors.

Mp_sharqi_day by Zeroy
This is the Final release of the map. Most bugs have hopefully been caught, it is Final version unless a major bug is found.

NOTES: !!! Only tested on 1.5 and AWE4 1.2 !!!

Changes in this version:
  • New minimap
  • New Loadscreen
  • TV Station sides can be accessed again
  • Added way around the hills between Axis spawn and TV Station
  • Removed Leaking/Explosive barrels (issues with oil decals)
  • Added breakable glass to the Double container
The map
It took well over 200 hours from start to finish (started on 19/01/08)
  • 11 Fx are used in the map
  • Scripts used for elevator, breakables, fan spining
  • 146 Textures in use
  • 963 terrain patches (including blending layers)
  • Near 14000 models placed in map (not unique :p)
  • Compile time of about 4 hours

Gametypes
This map supports: DM/TDM/DOM/SAB/SD/KOTH -- it does not support Oldschool mod.

If you run AWE4 you can enjoy CTF/CTFB/HTF as well :)

Installation
To install on a server you must be running a MOD! (any mod will do even modwarfare or empty folder)

Extract the zip in cod4_root folder
Copy "mp_sharqi_day.iwd" into your mods folder
Run Cod4 and type 'map mp_sharqi_day' in console or add the map to your servers rotation.

For Server Admin - Fog
To enable/disable fog on the map:

add this line to your server config file (i.e server.cfg)

For DAY version:

set mp_sharqi_fog_on "1" // Enable fog on map
set mp_sharqi_fog_on "0" // Disable fog on map

For NIGHT version:

set mp_sharqi_n_fog_on "1" // Enable fog on map
set mp_sharqi_n_fog_on "0" // Disable fog on map

Note that if you don't use the dvar, fog will be disabled.

Installation Instructions:

Put the usermaps folder with ALL Files in your COD4 directory.
C:/Program Files/Activision/Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare/

mp_vukovar.IWD only in usermaps NOT in the MOD Folder

If you are using PAM or Modwarfare (or other Modifications where NOT Speznas playing against SAS) you
have to put the attached fix into your modfolder(z_svr_teams.iwd). This file is serverside based and
must NOT be placed in your redirect download.
Construction Time :2,5 mounths
UPDATED IN THIS VERSION

-Removed one part of the map. (for beter fps & gameplay)
-Removed some custom sounds. (to make FF file smaller)
-Removed underground tunel. (for beter fps & gameplay)
-New worldspawn settings
-New vision file
-New .sun file.
-New transparent minimap IW style

-Beter awerage FPS in game.
-Map is now 45 mb in size (for linux servers this is important)
-IWD file is smaler now - 3.88 mb (previous was 10 mb)
-Fixed some small gliches (cant jump on tree from one building,Concret block is now solid)
-Removed buildings and houses from outside of map for beter fps.

This is definetly final version of Vukovar.I needed to optimise this map for beter fps,and for
Linux servers.Works just fine on widows servers too. ;-)
