Maybe some of you have experienced this as well, I know I'm not the
only one with this: blend textures show up inverted in Hammer. Say, a
rock/grass texture that I've set to rock shows up as grass in Hammer.
In-game I still see a rock texture...

Additionally, wireframe doesn't work for models in Hammer anymore, and in-game wireframe doesn't work for displacement maps...

Anyone else who had this and knows a solution, or anyone who just knows
a solution? It's not a heavy problem but if I can fix it, I'd be
happy...
Yes, I've updated to the latest video drivers and that didn't
solve the problem. My system specs: GeForce FX5600 256 MB, 384 MB
DDRAM, AMD 1800+.

I have the same problem (posted here: http://www.snarkpit.net/forums.php?forum=6&topic=5848&0 ).

I've also posted the problem on VERC, and it seems a number of people have been getting this since a recent SDK update.

It seems to be a problem with blend textures getting reversed (on any surface, not just displacements).

If I am not mistake you can simply press the invert alpha key and itshould flip it.

that would make it look ok in hammer, yes. the problem is, that hammer shows the inverse of what the final, compiled result will look like.

the only work around for it at present, would be to make any blend textures look ok in hammer. then before compiling, invert them all, making them look like s**t in hammer, but they'll be ok in the compiled map.

Another problem would be that the grass doesn't get rendered on most of these materials anymore.

I could invert all my dismaps and invert them again before compiling,
but since it's not that much of a hindrance it would only waste time.
I'd just like to see it fixed the proper way.

And I think only Valve can do that at the moment...
