Does the idea of creating a backstory for your Urband Dead character,
and then periodically narrating your adventures here in character
appeal to anyone? I've never attempted "fan-fiction" and I know
some people are very averse to the idea, but it had crossed my
mind.
I tend to enjoy it when I see people in character while playing UD, and maybe I would enjoy it here as well.
What do you think?

Anytime you heal someone you get 5 XP no matter what. This in itself
wouldn't be so bad, if only you could see player's HP levels; otherwise
you just end up trying to heal people with full health and wasting
action points. It's pretty frustrating, but now that I have Diagnosis
it should be okay.
In most MP games I like playing support roles anyway, so I guess I don't mind the difficulty. Not everyone can be a firefighter, after all.
As for the roleplaying idea, go ahead - if people don't want to read it, they can skip over your post anyway.

Nickelplate, I just made it into the Jensen BLVD Police Station.
When you log in again you'll see my greeting. I had to fight off
some zombies on the way from Chudleyton. I killed one, and
injured another. The injured one is 2 blocks East, 1 block
south. There are also 2 other zombies 1 block south from
there. If you've got enough ammo I'd say go for it.
I need to rest for another 25 hours before I can do anything.
I've probably got enough ammo for one more zombie hunt once
rested. I have 7 shotgun shells, and 30 bullets.
Otzman, the barricades are down to very strong, so you can get in now if you try.
CJ, where you at now that you've got diagnosis?
In other news my firefighter in Chancelwood almost died today. I
logged in to find the barricades nearly destroyed and 10 zombies
marauding outside my hideout, St. Louis's Hospital. I fled to the
nearby Dunston General hospital. If anyone is in the area and
would like to rendezvous I'm right on the border of Raines Hills
(southern side of Chancelwood).

Well, if you make it the Jensen BLVD PD you can search for weapons and ammo here.
I just logged in... should be okay now.
And where do you find arms shops?

Oh. I hear you can find shotguns in pubs in a pinch. A la Shaun of the Dead.

CJ, do you think it would be worth it to have my firefighter head down towards where you are?
I mean, I dont really know what 2 people who play at different times
could do for each other. I'd just be another person who, when
injured, you could heal for XP.

Nah, the local zombies have formed mobs, so I don't think it would be
worth it for a lone firefighter. I have plenty of people to heal
anyway, but thanks for the offer.

I was thinking... would you be able to gain levels by continually
attacking someone and then healing them? I guess it's kind of a
waste of AP... but it would work wouldn't it?
So Pitters we currently have in the Jensen BLVD Police Station:
Nickelplate (Nickelpate)
Robert Livingstone (Hugh)
Bill Waterson (Me)
And I know Otzmantwo is enroute...

I'll try my best to get over to Jensen Blvd in about 2 days (pick
something more to the east?) after I stock up on some more health-kits.

Seriously, I like the idea of hanging around the fringe more than the
center. There's something about the idea of owning a little area
on the outskirts as opposed to constantly battling for control of the
center of Malton that appeals to me.

I had to move my private pretty far away from Jensen PD to find a
zombie to kill. I managed to level up but now I'm spending the
night in some sort of Art Museum. I'll head back to the PD
tomorrow to scrounge some more ammo.
Do you get XP for healing yourself?
My firefighter is only 8 points away from level 5, so I'm pretty excited about that.

Ok, im in luckinswood, but didnt find the police station until i got out of AP's.
Im currently at St Swithun's church. Would be nice if any of you could
give me some simple directions to Jensen BLVD Police Station from there.
If we are to move elsewhere, please wait a few days until everyone is gathered before changing location of the "home base".
As addicted to morphine suggested I think it would be cool if we stayed
in the outscirts and did raids every now and then to the surrounding
areas.

I'm in the Galavin Museum
[25, 46] It's definitely low priority, and very strongly
barricaded. There are only 4 of us here total. It's smack
dab in the middle of Lukinswood. However, I'm going to run back
the PD when I get enough APs, I need ammo!

My other character is in north-east Malton, in Chancelwood. I think
CJ is floating around Pegton. Atrocity, maybe we could meet
halfway near CJ's makeshift clinic
We could be the Snarkpit triumvirate this side of Malton!

Okay, the Tri-Hospital Area in Pegton is (mostly) free of zombies now.
Plus, I leveled up! The zombies should come by more often, I get more
clients that way. I'm going to try to get another level (and get the
Bargain Hunter skill) before meeting up with you guys - that way I
won't run out of medkits as easily. Now go, go! For the good of the
city!

Yeah... burning up APs patrolling for Zombies to kill can be very
annoying. But at the same time, the city feels MUCH bigger when
you can't traverse very far in one go. It also lends some
strategy to each turn, because for every excursion you have to factor
in the return trip.

I'm in Chiles Monument, Barville, but I'm 'living impaired' ATM.
"George Bush doesn't care about Malton survivors!" was spraypainted in
an area a while back. Thought it amusing enough to mention.

I'm moving close to there. But only to eat your flesh. Any necrotech
bases in Lukinswood? Also, If I drop my axe in an area can it be picked
up by someone else?
