i need a prefab.. i need to trigger a sound, say once every 30 seconds or so... actually one i can set the reset time for many different sounds..

cause i am stupid?
been telling you so for years now..
next question, how does one load a sound, that is legit, but refuses to load?
i have checked paths and typo's several times, but still recieve messages "unable to process crtnoise.wav" or "unable to process steamjet1.wav"

your smart enough to use mm's m8. I think uve just got confused somewhere for some reason, It doesnt do anything but target other entities.
Its the other entities that should be trouble.
Basically,
make a mm
alt+ret it for properties
Enter a target name, like m00
turn off smart edit
click "add"
underneath "key" - enter the name of the entity you wish to tgarget
underneath "value" - enter a time
example m00 & 0.1 targets the entity named m00 after 0.1 of a second.
so if you wanted to target a light & a sound, the sound would be named m00 & the light would be m002 - All you would have to do is repeat what you did with m001, except change the "key" name.

Oops, I thought you just wanted a looping sound setup. Bah, it was a late night......
Anyway the prefab for continuously looping sounds can be used for playing a sound at intervals too: just make the time longer.
Other options include using a trigger_multiple to trigger the sound when players walk by. I always felt this was a little cheesy myself but...shrugs
For a really show-off solution, use a random trigger effect (the beams thing).

fragman, i am using stock sounds from HL, should i still attempt to convert one?

MMs hardly require a lesson. They may seem abit daunting, i remember i wasn't to fast to embrace it but korn explained very easily how to do it and this entire process would no doubt be faster if you had the ability to do it yourself.
