My mom called me this morning and told me that some fishermen had found an old WW2 mine in the harbor. The mine could detonate and therefore big parts of the city was blocked. Which mean that I cant go to school ^_^.

This time i think its going to be safe, however I guess that there is plenty of mines out there which noone has found yet, and it would be terrible if a ship ran into one.
150kg of badass explosives can be quite dangerous.
Some woodsman discovered an old ww2 russian-made shell stuck between
the branches of a tall tree, some 20-25 meters above the ground. It was
concluded that the shell must have fallen on the then small tree, and the plant simply grew around it.

Bummer if you were chopping that tree down for some wood on your lovely fireplace and didn't look up to see if there's a bomb up in the branches
Children are maimed daily in Korea and Vietnam by unaccounted for mines and such.

Thats truly sad when you think about it.
There is no history until something happens, then there is.

There's a video on the internet where this boy is blown up by a hidden mine while playing football...

What a waste of a life, the World needs peace!

Heard about it on the news. They said it was from 1918. They also said the military would detonate it underwater out in the sea.
What the Snarkpitters listen to!
