I don't make many (or any) threads, I just came across this and thought it was pretty awesome, so here we go.

http://www.rasterwerks.com/game/phosphor/beta1.htm

Visiting that link will allow you to run (on the fly) a Phosphor, a death-match game for a stand alone engine.

It uses Direct 7, I think is the highest setting, the graphics are almost on par with HL1 (that is, upon the release of HL1, of course). It runs a server through the browser interface. You can play the game windows or full screen. You can host Internet games or lan games too. Or play with bots.

Now, this is purely a novelty, It's not really that good ... beats the pants of Urban Dead though.

As far as I can tell, the thing pretty much doesn't work in firefox. It works in mozilla, however, (netscape too), and (obviously  ) IE.
[EDIT]Apparently, it does work in FF.

Oh yes, you can also define all your settings, there's mouse control and all that jazz.

Post up your comments ... start clans, if you're that much of a douchebag.

WARNING: This is not intended for low bandwidth users! So, don't bitch about it

[EDIT]
http://www.rasterwerks.com/ is the main site ... not much there, however. I can only assume that's the company and/or engine name (RasterWerks).
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Worked well enough in Firefox for me. Quite good for a browser game, kind of a watered down Quake 3 I think.

Pretty neat. See, when you finally come out and make a thread, it's worth something!
I tried sniffing coke, but the ice cubes kept getting stuck in my nose.

Worked on Firefox with me.And that's a pretty cool level. The game is
all around a good deathmatch. I think I might start a game today in
computer class in school  .

Okay, so it works in Firefox, and their site isn't comprahensive  The only reason I said it didn't work in FF is because there's two blantant marks in the "issues" section that says it doesn't (or rarely does) work in FF.

Oh well. This is just another way to waste time online
