First of all: If you are making a map for Opposing Force or Half-life
you don't use a modeling program. You use the Valve Hammer Editor.

Secondly: Take a good look at the tutorials on this site. They'll help you get on your way.

I am looking at a member with an 800esque number...

You know, sometimes even the act of being a wise ass is too much effort.

Dude, this site is chock full of tutorials, not to mention the net has even more.

Start your search with "Setting up Hammer 3.5" then moving on to "Creating your first room"

After that, its child's play. If you can get those 2 sorted, everything else will just slide into place.

Good luck.

Milkshape 3D isn't for making maps. It's for making models for games.(like guns, monsters...ect)

It's good you learned how to model. It's always good to know how to do it then you can make really complex prefabs, more complex then you can ever do in hammer, and they wont damage the game's rendering speed alot.

Maps should go to the modname\maps folder in HL folder. And the reason
why you can only add hl weapons is likely the fact that you are using
an .fgd file for hl instead of an opfor .fgd. Try checking your
preferences.

Searching the Half-Life editing forum will help you with a lot of the problems you will run into, because they have been asked countless times. Just an FYI. Good luck in mapping.

Interlopers has a link to some of the .fgd files, which includes the one you're looking for, darklord.
