Hello, I am Penguinboy.

I released this over at TWHL a while ago for testing and i am proud to say that it has reached a stage where it is decent for others to see too.

It is a displacement generator. The program itself goes by the name of Twister, because of its original purpose of generating a twisted hallway, such as the one seen in LoZ: Ocarina of Time. The result is this:

Then I continued to add features to get what it is now. you can generate twisted walls, curves and curved ramps, curved corners, circles, domes, cones, noise, and heightmaps. Texture alignment on all of them is perfect. (mostly)

I am still looking for ideas of what else to add into the program, a 3d preview has been suggested, but I have no idea how to code OpenGL, so that's out. I'm really just looking for ideas of what else to generate.

Feedback, ideas, tweaks, and crash reports will be appreciated.

A few things to note:
You will need the .NET framework 2.0
The auto-update function will attempt to connect to the internet at startup.

And yes, I do realize that this has been done before, in a program called DispGen, but it has ceased development, and doesnt have enough options.

Thanks for your time.

PS: I think I posted in the right forum?

Well, you could have put this in the art section, but then it would be ignored.
I'm getting it now.
Also change the texture of the dock. Docks are rarely tile. -Facepunch

Finally, a displacement generator that does more than simulating terrain! This could be gold. :o

I think I may have a graphical error (can't see the buttons):

Ohh and great work, it looks more solid than the other one I've been using.
