I'm making a mod called E-NYGMA with 3 other poeple. Ii trying to open gordon.mdl so i can add him going into a car. I import it fine, convert it and but when i try to open it my computer crashes, is this becasue my computer is a piece of piss, or because I am not doing this right.

Oh, does any one want to become the main Modeler for the mod. E-mail me if you are interested. (See my profile.)

Its pretty big!

Oh shucks i will type the pot here anyway:

Gordon goes to work, sumething goes wrong. (like a pipe burst) In that big machine room in black mesa. Which subsequently blows up(KABOOOOM!), Gordon escapes into a near by transporter and goes back to the past when black mesa is being built, but the G-man from the future is trying to stop black mesa from being built. Gordon goes exploring (why the pipe burst). Gordon corners the gman and gman goes in a teleporter and goes to XEN. Gordon follows, so you have to destroy him and XEN by gettin 6 keys around XEN to activate a bomb. ANOTHER BIG CONSPIRISIE IS REAVELED ALONG THE LINES SUMWHERE(TBC).

The story sounds lame, to be honest :/ It sounds exactly like one of those mods. that will never get done. But good luck anyway!

Well, the first thing a mod. needs is a team, so you're one step closer to success  I recommend limiting the scope of the mod. somewhat unless you can recruit a large team or are prepared to put in a lot of work.

Theres four of us, inlcluding wil5on, and he knows something about modding. We'll stick to the KISS principle, and hopefully everything should turn out ok.

Aw, shucks. All I did was Big Scientists, and that was more of a bunch of SP maps than a mod.

Linking levels together isnt a science, its an art. I might write a tut sometime if I've got time. Mebbe theres a tut already here, I'll check...

PAK files? Get Pakscape. Best pak editor I've seen.

"Keep It Simple, Stupid" is more accurate, considering the complexity of some biowaste i wouldn't think "Keep It s**t Simple" to mean easy/uncomplicated.

since most of SP forbade me talking about poop, i wont even mention the kind with corn in it... /runs

Let us hope we never return to those dark, brown-stained days of nothing but 'poop talk'
