Your ability to humor us is inversly proporsional to your understanding of MMs

I'll fix the errors in pix 3 and 5 since I have the map at the moment. Once its fixed and once my part is finished (more or less) I'll compile and give you guys an update.

haha, what the hell?
Why would a flat sign be causing errors? And how did my rocks get errored up? Something suspicious here, maybe you're reading the coordinates in the wrong order? Or, perhaps coordinates mean nothing from the output.

this map has producesd errors that previously didn't exist because someone rotated it.. /methinks it sounds like it happened again.

The way I see it, if you look in flat mode and see 2 brush faces on the same plain at the same level that would cause the error. But in anycase, the errors dont harm the gameplay of the level. Sure it looks bad in terms of mapping and compile times are much higher (stupid leaf thread) but gameplay isnt harmed. So in the end, even if we cant fix 'em all, it dosent really matter IMO.

This is why I didnt 100% built my part. I built my main part is a specific orientation which remains the same, and then now that I have the map, I am building my own corridors so that nothing needs to be rotated.

when i said, "get OUR s**t tohether", thats exactly what i meant; i was not directing that at you solely there WC...i can not fathom the reasons for rmf's being sent on with errors in them, that are simply because of unsound mapping practices, because this gets beat into our heads around here all the time...so, when i say WE, i damn well mean All of us....its not up to me to fix your f**kups, or vise versa....take yer time gents, do it right the first time, and when the second round comes about for adjustments, itll be that much easier on all of us...

btw, school is MUCH more important that this s**ttin' map, so take care of business, and we'll be here when yer ready....

visgrouping is a godsend for people with seriously undersized computers.

what it does it essentially remove what you see from the mapping grid, in essence rendering the PC to more easily draw what is left.

to visgroup something, say a table you just built... press CTRL and left click each piece of the table till the whole thing is red, then click the little box on top that says "hide selected object" then it will appear on left as "? pieces hidden"

edit this to say "TABLE"

then all you have to do is click on it and a tiny little hand will appear pointing at it.. press "whatever button is left" i don't have 3.5 installed anymore i have 4.0 and it has different words..

but essentially, that is visgrouping.. just remember, the invisible stuff is still there and do NOT map in that region.. else you will overlap.

The factory.wad is in fact not a CS wad. It has original textures created for a map that i was working known as Old Factory which can be found in my pro. Some of the other textures were assembled from various wads. Another texture artist sent me.. Blazeeer.. a couple texture to add. So Factory.wad is in no way of shape nor form, a CS wad. If this happens to be the one your looking for PM and I will give you the link.

Confusion stems from the fact that "check for problems" reports several missing "cstrike_something" textures.
