I tried to use Nihilanth but it doesn't attack or anything. It just looks at the player and never does anything.

How do you make Nihilanth do anything and attack?
Also how do you make it shoot teleporting balls at the player?

Thanks.

I don't know how is dome. But using WinBSP can help you with this.Just find the second last HL map and let WinBSP convert the map. :)

What is WinBSP and is it easy to use?
When you say to convert the map are you talking about converting it to RMF?

WinBSP is a *bsp to *map converter. It's exreamly easy to use.You have to choose the *bsp file, where to save the new *map file and make the program convert the *bsp to a *map file. There is a link: http://planethalflife.gamespy.com/View.php?view=CSFiles.Detail&id=1153 ;)

Thanks for the link. I was wondering on how converting the bsp to a map is going to help. I know I could view the map file then but I'm not sure if that is going to help me know how Nihilanth does everything. In the map file the Nihilanth will still have the same property field as in my levels.

Do you still think converting it to map will help me?

I know it has been a long time since this topic has been visited but I still cannot figure it out. I gave up on it before and I would like to try to work on it again. I'm not sure if anyone would be able to help because of the difficulty that I had before.

I did try to use the WinBSP and I was able to convert the file to see it, but I still had absolutely no idea whatsoever how they achieved the attacks and the teleporting. I tried to figure it out but no luck at all.

If anyone has any new ideas of how to make Nihilanth "functional" that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I strangely remember something about air-nodes at the top and bottom of the chamber or something like that. I don't think it's as complicated as triggers all over the place triggering effects and attacks, but if it helps you could also try ripent-ing it. (which is basically for the same reason as WinBSP but Ripent is text only)

And here is the best documentation I can find, although I admit some of it is particular to Sven Co-op (this should be obvious though).
