If you have any specific Donation Questions, you may ask them here. Below is the donation thermometer for the 2011 donation news post:
User posted image
Expected Possible Questions:

-How much is the SnarkPit server bill?
-I'd rather not say, but I can assure you it's not more than $200.00. It will extend our server usage for two years.

-Don't I get SOMETHING for donating to the site?
-I wish. [SURPRISE AHEAD:] I'm working on getting some bumper stickers and non-bumper stickers created. I'll post 'em here if I ever get them finished, and you can be mailed one.

There are no in-site features for donor status yet... Consider this on my to-do list when the site gets revamped one day.

-I want to donate, but I can't right now.
-No problem, we're always accepting donations. Any time you'd like to donate, just scroll to the very bottom of ANY page where it says: "© Snarkpit.net 2001 - 20##, about us, donate, contact" on the site, and click the donate link there.

-I don't have a PayPal account, is there another way for me to donate?
-I'm afraid not, at least not financially. PayPal keeps everything legal and recorded properly. Stay active on the site for the next two years and you'll be donating more than enough!

Any other non-personal donation questions? -ask 'em below!

Thanks,
-Riven

It's sent through my personal PayPal account, since that's the one the site is registered through.

The link at the bottom of every page directs you through to the donate page on PayPal regarding the SnarkPit.

I see what you did there Riven, the words "you donate now" are emphasised.

I don't really feel comfortable giving pay pal direct access to my everyday bank account, but when I get my debit card I'll contribute something.

Not that it matters which way, but you should be aware that your debit card = your bank account with a capped limit (say $500 / day). At least its that way in the US.

Also that kid has me laughing. Very clever image.

But you can get a Debit card from Wal Mart, and only add 25 dollars to it to donate... there for it is not YOUR bank account in any way.

I agree with Muhnay. Either go his route or use a credit card. A personal debit card has no security. I got my numbers stole somehow and ended up paying for a bunch of shit in Dallas. Don't use your bank debit card.

Most banks, except for the really crooked ones (BoA) actually cover identity theft.

If at all possible, get a credit union account, not a bank account.

ANYWAY, you guys remember he's in Australia right?
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Good point. They keep their money in wooden chests buried on the beach.

Sorry, my bad.

I just wanted to note that in all actuality, it turns out that even though the server bill did come in this month, for some reason, they don't make it due until two years later. So, in that regard, I went ahead and paid in advance, and it turns out that we basically get four more years of guaranteed Pit activity. You can bet as long as our host is afloat, we'll be afloat, and I can't wait to see where all we go in four years. Let's see who's still around in 2015!

Thanks again to all those who donated, I did not expect it to be so much and so quick! It all went to the server bill.
