Dunno if it will be viewed worldwide (which I doubt) but there will be an eclipse at sunset.
Please be careful viewing it.

It was 100% clear here for like 8 days, and the night before this happens, it decides to rain and be overcast. I was looking forward to this.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Sadly, I forgot about the eclipse and left my camera in my truck.
My only regret was that the eclipse happened right at sunset and the very best part was at the horizon.
The wife and I were on my rooftop at the house trying to get the best view possible.
It helps that we live on top of one of the tallest hills in our part of the world.
Sadly though, there were trees on the neighbors property and our view was cut short by a few minutes.
Still we saw about 3/4 to 7/8 of the sun missing.
Was glorious.

Such a cool sight to behold. I can imagine it was a big deal to the ancients to see something like that. And it's pretty awesome that we as humans have been able to figure that kind of stuff out just by thinking about it (and experimentation). But the power of thought to construct a working model which explains such an event is pretty cool. Or as Carl Sagan put it: "We are a way, the Cosmos can know itself"

Really cool stuff, thanks for posting.
