Wow, I thought SnarkPit was down for good, this is awesome! Time update those dead links on my maps.
Hope it's alright a friend and I are scraping the site as is and uploading it to archive.org!

Hello!
It looks like I was never particularly active on here, but it's nice to see the site's not gone regardless

10) If you log in at www.snarkpit.net and visit snarkpit.net you're not logged in there (but all the links take you to www.snarkpit.net)
11) The <head> tag contains <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=iso-8859-1" /> but the HTTP header has "Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8" 🎈åäö

Thanks Potatis & Xylemon for the bug reports, I will probably leave most of the minor issues unfixed and focus on the redesign if everything with that works out. But feel free to let me know if you find any more issues!

eukara, it looks like the topics aren't set right on that TSRP map archive: multiple topics merged into one. The Internet Archive is getting more and more Half-Life content. I love it.

Holy hell it's wonderful The SnarkPit is back.
I was just about to go to bed and remember someone's words (possibly Riven or Leperous) saying the site will never go down. So I thought I'd give it a shot again after a couple of years.
This is great. Just wish life didn't get in the way and take away most of the free time we once had..
Would LOVE to hear everyone's experiences with life in general, and also the Half-Life universe. I played Alyx some 3-4 times, this latest time I'm 3/4 of the way through with dev commentary and it's great.
I redid my "old home in Europe" level in VR, with the little info and tutorials available for Source 2 Hammer, and it looks quite nice I think. Maybe I post some screenshots later.
Hope everyone's well!

The impossible had happened!
I did not think in a million years that the Snarkpit would be revived. But if Jesus could do it, so can it!
I was referred here from TWHL when I first became a mapper in 2002. Yes, it has been more than twenty years since I started mapping. I don't do it anymore, but I have passed on the trade secrets to my son. "Scott, I am your father".
Snarkpit was where I shared my creations with the international community. It was where I inadvertently helped someone struggling with their diagnosis of autism. It was where my hopes and fears lived and died.
Thank you, for everyone who contributed to the valiant effort in its revival. Unlike Jesus, its resurrection did not involve the hand of God . . . or did it?
