I make a habit of recording all the CS matches I go in, so when it starts i always go record <demoname>

and play it later using viewdemo <demoname> and it works fine.

but just today I tried viewdemoing the demo of a match last night, and CS closed and gave me an error saying Fatal Error: Client world model is NULL. wtf? I've never gotten any such error before. Does anyone have any idea what this means? I also tried using the Fix Demo feature in Geekplay and it didn't make any difference

No clue either, but I believe there is a demo viewer in the latest version of the half-life tool kit, dont really know what it does, but it might help  .

By what the error says it looks like the demo file you're trying to play is corrupted/invalid/NULL(Empty ... or "without value") ... try it with a different one ... however, This isn't an exact answer taking that I don't know the error messages, That's just how I interpret what it says.

You know ... these error message things are funny, because to the guys who programmed it ... they know exactly what happened

Just like the precache model overflow error I ran into...funny how it actually refers to brush based entities and not models.

I talked to John not to long after I posted last and he said it was what I said. The demo file was like 100Kb or something, obviously too small to be properly used. I don't know why he didn't say something like "I figured it out now" or something.

Precache model overflow error? Refering to brush entities?? What was the actual error? (Programmer's Error messages are often times ambiguous at best.)

yeah, i figured it out lol

last night i was running really low on disk space, so that is probably why it didn't record properly, just created the demo header.
