Screens updated. I have all of about 6 days to finish it, most of which will involve me getting married and packing, but it may get done yet. But probably not. Meh. It sucks anyway. :-

Sell the RMF on eBay then, being the uber mega star you will be one day probably, and give the money to charity.

For some reason the 1st thumbnail is looking completely different to the image you get when you click the thumbnail? Maybe it's just me.

I really like that vertical cylinder, but other than that I can't really see what's going on because the sun is out

I'm getting the same thing Jeff, it's just because he uploaded the
screen over an old one and it didn't seem to thumbnail the new one.

looks nice, though obviously the lighting needs some work. was this meant to be a HLDM map? if you don't get it done in time (because you are starting that new job, right?), I'd be happy to pick up the torch and finish it for you. I'm not that great at coming up with my own map ideas sometimes, but tweaking a map that's already started is kinda my specialty, I've finished several maps for other people already when they didn't have time themselves. I love the tweaking and eyecandy part of mapping, hehe. Anyway, it would still be credited as "your" map, or possibly joint authorship, depending on how much more work I had to do on it. Right now I don't have much time to map, so I'm mostly doing stuff like this (finishing other people's maps) since it's constructive but less time consuming. Let me know if you are interested, it looks like a nice map and I'd hate to see it fall by the wayside.

Jinx: Probably what will have to happen. No offense, but if/when I do this, there are a couple other people I'd like to offer the map to first. But I'll keep you in mind.

Looks like this is as far as I take my last HL map. Sad. :-\

are you sure YOU did this? This really isn't up to par with the rest of the work you've done. I agree with jinx the lighting does need work. As it is it's very minimal and doesn't do much to compliment the architecture. The brushwork and textures are decent but I'm not really sure what that place is supposed to be. I think it could be good but it still needs some love.

Boring and unoriginal. I hate to be harsh and blunt, although i'd love
to be at every available turn but if this was a "newbie" i'd give them
a good slating. It's dark, squared off and angular without even a hint
of wow factor :/ What happened?

Definately not KFS standard.

Of course they do, but I don't think harsh words are necessary here. The map needs work on texturing and lighting; from what I see, the construction is solid yet undetailed at worst. If this was anyone else, I don't think quite so much crap would be slinging his way - it's just because he let it on that he doesn't like it either.

From where I'm sitting - albeit that is in front of a crappy monitor where colors literally change by certain degrees constantly - this map needs more time, not more criticism.

I don't think the screenshots do this one justice. When I played an earlier version, the architecture was pretty interesting. However, it's too cramped and the textures seem to be exerting dominion over the mapper

Nah I'd still slag it even if it was his favorite. I'm sure good little spotlights and spinkee lighting in little alcoves would do it well though.
