CS Hackers

So I was just playing on our clan server on aztec and this guy, staretd playing, me and my friend were 0wning him quite and bit, then he starts getting immediate head shots and knowing where we are. There is a tiny chance that he was just lucky, but im not sure.
This brings me to a question of which anti hacking software is the best. Hackers ruin games and make me start to hate cs.

The only "anti-hack" software out there are ones that run on the server- theres nothing you personally can do about it. But one that seems to work decently is CD (Cheating Death). There are 2 levels of protection for CD, one which doesn't let anyone who doesn't have CD running join the server, and one that tags you if you're not running it (by putting a (NO CD) behind your name or something.)

You start CD before you start up a game of Counterstrike, and then it won't let you run any cheats (Although I'm sure there are ways around it). This helps to make sure that people who join the server aren't running any external things in addition to CD.

It's kinda neat, but, like everything out there, isn't 100% secure.

Other than that, just join a different server if you think someone is hacking. No point in getting upset at them, since yelling and screaming at them won't make them stop, and it kinda kills the fun for you.

i was specing a guy on the tfc skills server that i admin on, and he was giving advice to a guy that was in another area of the map. he claimed to be able to spec the other player in a small window that ran on top of his normal screen. he even gave a url with a screenshot of this.

after i looked at the pic i asked him how this was done. he claimed it was something his friend had custom made for him, and it didn't have a name. i kicked and banned him for haxing. :biggrin:

Sloth, it could have easily been two people of different skill levels
sharing one computer. Ask for admin rights to the server. The two good
tfc clans I was in gave every member admin power.

I have admin rights. But as I could not prove that he was hacking I couldnt really kick him. But on the next map he kept using an awp which is not allowd on our server so I kicked him! :biggrin:

CS can just seem that way (that someones cheating) but the fact is that some people do get lucky and seem like their cheating, dont worry its happened to me and its just the way CS was built, CS source eliminates this luck streak thing and what it all boils down to in the end is raw skill.

How can it eliminate luck? There's no way you're gonna stop me from getting 3 headshots with an AK on full auto :razz:

Yes, I actually booted up Cs last night. Out of the 5 servers I joined, 4 of them had hackers on.

Not necessarily, people called me a cheater for getting headshots on 'em with the Deagle, I called it aiming at their heads. Yeah there's cheating s**tglobs everywhere but just because somebody's whoopin' tushie doesn't mean they're cheating. I've got pwned on CS many times simply because I didn't watch my back.

I've been banned on 2 servers with DOD because they thought I was cheating, they don't seem to realise how accurate the garand is when you're moving...

Oh yah, and one guy accused me of cheating on our clan server.

Yes there is a chance that he wasn't hacking, but you can't be too careful.

Some people make no attempt to conceal the fact that they are hacking.

One person stood in the terrorist spawn on assault and got a headshot on every CT the second the round started.

Two people got a headshot every time, spectating one, his crosshair snapped to the Ts heads the second they came round the corner. the other one's view was jumping and bouncing and shaking around, and it wasn't 'looking' around, it was serious jumping that you couldn't even see what was going on.

the last person was speedhacking. He couldn't even control it and kept running into walls.
