WoW Stress Test

I am known as Bertha, the female troll priest on the Tichondrious server. Fear my healing powers.

Right now, WoW has me somewhat unconvinced. Art direction and
production values are great, sure, but ultimately it just seems like
something in the vein of Diablo 2 and all the other MMORPG's. The
majority of the quests seem to be "kill these monsters" or "kill these
monsters and loot these items from their corpse" or "get these items".
Maybe I haven't played enough? I think the Horde vs. Alliance dynamic
could generate some pretty fun gameplay too, but as I said, I'm not at
that part yet.

Anyone else on Tichondrious or even have the Stress test? I'm so lonely... <img>

Well, it is an MMO.

You should probably have mentioned what WoW is (Worlds of Warcraft, for those who aren't sure) and how people can get in on the beta test? As I'm heading up to my flat in a couple of days and will probably be bored witless, I'd be interested in having a look if its an open beta.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure the chance to participate in the beta is over. I remember seeing sign-ups for it a long time ago.

Yeah, the stress test signups ended a little bit ago. I've got the beta installed, but no key to play with. :sad: It seems interesting enough, and if pulled off properly the Horde vs Alliance pvp game would be awesome. But I'm sure it won't be all that it could be.

Blizzard says there will be an open beta sometime down the line, so I'll be signing up for that one the moment it happens.
