hi,

i was wondering if any mapper would liek to join me on my site to show off work and maybe make some prefabs and tutorials,

the like is http://www.biomapping.tk

i'm a pretty noob mapper and i am looking for some good (well better
than me so, avarage is good too  ) mappers to show of their stuff on
the site, i hope you like it.

i'll be posting some images of my work soon but i'm still just starting
my first real map, as everytime i start one i need to learn something
new (this time, making terrain, witch when great using snark pit
tutorials tbh) i'm still in the verry beginning of the map.

my site is not only for HL mapping but for all mapping, with VHE and UnrealEd and others.

thanks for reading this post, bye

Good looking site, actually.

A few things though-

I've never really been a fan of intro screens like that. I don't really see the point.

Also, The main navigation links are incredibly hard to see where they are right now- they blend in far too well with that background.

Very nice site in parts, but a few things let it down. The text in the
top banner for instance - couldn't you get a better font or apply some
interesting effects to it? Also the vertical text on the right hand
side looks pretty horrible against the otherwise cool design. You may
want to make the menu options more obvious too - they are a very subtle
grey against that grey background.

The idea behind the site reminds me very much of one I used to run a
long time ago called "Evolution" (for some reason I kept the name for
any personal websites since, though have given it up now). Kinda fell
through though, and while I don't want to put you off, I can imagine
the same happening for you. The problem is that we already have here -
it offers us the ability to post tutorials, maps, prefabs, models, and
soon enough (we hope!) user reviews. There is little point in splitting
off and doing the same on another website that chances are won't be as
easy and powerful as this one.

Good luck with it though

I think the site looks great, but otherwise I agree with everything ReNo says. You could have yours as a group of personal mapping pages, though, since Lep doesn't hand out the pits anymore.

Yeah, only members of the Snarkpit "team" can, but we're all members of that "team," disturbing as that may be.

If you want to know the cold hard truth...

I don't know, it's not my cat.

http://snarkpit.com/pits/hugh/images/kitty.jpg is my cat. She waddles, it's so adorable. She also waddles faster than I can run, it's so sad.

If you want my opinion on why my avvie kitty's going "oh noze!!~1two" it's because he/she doesn't like being held right under the 'ol stinkcaves.

well it looks like someone is holding it over their lap and possibly probing it from beneath :wtf:

course, i could be mistaken.

I'm laughing because that seems unlikely, mind you. Holding a kitty there, they're going to freak a little, try to probe it from beneath, he'll claw your eyes out. Imagine how hard that picture would have been to take, that'd be a 3-person team to hold the kitty, probe it, and snap a picture.
