I personally can not wait for this game, only 15 days left. It will be one of the greatest games every, if you played the demo you would know what im talking about. Any thoughts on it?

I think it's just another kick ass game coming out this season. To be honest, there are too many hyped games coming out this month: HL2, MGS3, Halo2, MohPA to name a few.

Gotta beat that shopping rush, I suppose.

Agreed there are a bunch of kick ass games that are comming out. Its almost too much to think about, and dont forget about Kill Zone.

And where did you get the Demo?

edit: anyone play twin snakes? Is it any better on the game cube than the ps1(gameplay wise not graphical)?

As long as it doesn't run out of introducing new stealth elements, it oughta be the best in the series

As opposed to MG, MG2, MG3, MGS, or MGS2?

As far as I can see, Twin Snakes is better, simply because there is more game.

Too many cut-scenes for my liking. MGS2 seemed like there was more watching than playing. If they address this though, MGS3 could be really good - though they have to live up to Splinter Cell now...

MGS for PS was oh so good, as was MGS2 for PS2, even though all the
cutscenes became a wee annoying after a few hours. However, I'm looking
forward to MGS3, I hope Solid Snake is as cool as ever.

You're not "Solid Snake" in MGS3 ...

f**k Splinter Cell. I'm sick of all these games competing with each other by copying each other. They're both good in their own way, they better stay that way.

Kojima specifically said one of his first issues of the game was to make more of it playable then MGS2. Since, everyone bitched endlessly.

Then, who are you? I had been looking forward to play as Solid Snake after playing as Raiden so much

You're Big Boss, when he was younger. Takes place in the 60s. In the trailers they even show him losing his eye.

You are "Solid Snake" did you not see Big Boss standing in the air plane in the demo with a scar and eyepatch?

Play the demo, you'll see for youself.

That doesn't make sense, since it's the mid 60s. Are you saying in MGS you're 55 or 60 or older? I doubt it.

If the demo comes with another game (like MGS2, even ZOE is a good game) I'm not buying the other game to play the demo. I haven't found a demo disc anywhere, so.

From what I read in OPM, you DO play as Snake, and you ARE IN the 60's. The magazine was in fact bragging that this made no sense  So don't worry.

I doubt your in the 60s hence the appearance of Raiden, and flying hover platforms.

Are you trying to say all press releases before the demo were bulls**t?

And I didn't say you don't play as "Snake", I said you don't play as "Solid Snake".

Everything Kojima has talked about says, it's in the 60s (as does the trailer for the game) and that you're big boss.

So, I suppose we'll see in the final game. For all I know the entire thing acts as a flash back.

Not to mention it seems the entire game plays on the cold war aspect ... thus all the russians.
