speaking of HL2, anyone cantch the pure insanity yesterday? A bunch of
shop chains were selling HL2 early, but since they can't play it until
Valve activiates the authentication servers, rumours were running about
that they were gonna do just that...the steam, hl2.net and
hlfallout.ner forums all went down under the excitement. It turns out
Valve can't do it because of contractual obligations to Vivendi. so
we're gonna have to wait a bit longer. But it was pure madness for a
good 4-5 hours. Drama to the very last minute, only Half-Life 2.

Hehe Kage, I was in a bit of a panic over that as well as I'm away from my computer for a few days. Woulda been heartbroken if they had released it early and my flatmates were able to play before me
Welcome back to the site IrishGuinea, hope you find it as useful as you used to

I use "high standards" as my own impression of your work... I'm a perfectionist so if i cant produce a map that I think is as good as Renos or Orph's (just to name a few..) I wont release it... plus i have a hard time learning to say enough is enough. My maps always ended up way to big.
so take "high standards" as a compliment to your work
