Lol, that'll teach em' to spend the money on the actuall game next time. How hard is it to just buy either the HL platinum pack for $30 or HL2 for $50. It's a heck of a lot less troubling than having an account disabled.

These all sound like 12 year kids. They must be morrons because the mods told them the reason why they couldn't login into their accounts and they still contested. Just shutup and stop your wining. You know what you did so get over it. Kids these days think they can get away with anything. I know I'm only 16 but it pisses me off to see 12 year olds get away with s**t and thinking they are big stuff. Oh well this is good news to me anyways. This means less whiny asses on CS:S.

its like, "give me my stolen software back!" or, "why did you stop me
when you caught me stealing?"
gj at life, uaenoob, fruithead, and halogen.
thats a knee-slapper...
my favorite sentence: "My Steam-account has been disabled, but there was no reaseon!"

The Steam forums contains a plethora of humorous events.
Most due to individuals who're, in all senses of the word, morons.
It's also incredibly annoying to read this, ?plz hlp. I hve teh problam.? and find that the person gets mad if no one helps them.

What's even dumber is to commit credit card fraud over such a paltry sum. Seriously, if you go through all the trouble to steal other people's cards at least use them for more than buying HL2 over Steam  . That $50 is so hard to swing these days.

I missed the part where it specifically stated that only Hl2 was purchased with the stolen credit cards.

There's no dummy cd key, Valve didn't release anything. They just
noticied that a good 20,000 accounts were using the same one.

i am noticing a trend in this thread. if you are under 21 its ok to talk about kids, or otherwise insinuate they are what they are. funny, i was under the impression that it was bad to go into ageisms, or is it just when older peeps do it. :heee:

Really why are valve crackin down on people who used a no CD crack? Dumbest anti-piracy tactic ever. Most people who use the no-cd crack are people who bought the game legit and just don't want to have to search around for the CD every time they want to play. The irony is that the real pirates - those who downloaded the cracked game and didn't pay at all - are just fine without the CD inserted since the cracked versions supposedly don't connect to steam at all.
Plus if you bought the game over steam you don't even need to have the CD inserted in the first place, so why are the rules different for people who bought it at the store? Hell, you could even install HL2 with the CD, activate it, then uninstall it and re-install it from steam and bypass the CD key protection.
