Is there a way I can convert .bsp to .vmf there has gotta be away my
brother deleted my .vmf off my desktop but I still have the .bsp.!!!

Use the old hammer editor to convert your bsp -> map.

You can open a .map file in the new Hammer Editor.

even if there were, you wouldn't want to use it.

if its not been long, there are a whole plethora of "undelete" programs. perhaps you can salvage it yet.
my advice, keep people away from your files, and make multiple backups.

AND, do not ever bump a post 4 minutes old :mad:

NO. If you're lucky there will still be a .MAP somewhere that you can use, though.

For HL1 there was a program called WINBSP, it converted the .bsps into
.maps, but the maps were very crappy (lots of errors), currenty the old
winbsp doesnt work for the new maps (not the same format) but hopefully
someone will make a new one so we can find out how valve did something.
And you can find the old hammer by running a search, just look for
world craft 3.4.

no it doesn't silly.. hammer cannot convert a .bsp to .map :lol:
if any response was correct, mine was a shade more so. but in the end the answer is "NO"

don't tell me that, cause that means theres a chance lep marked his own answer correct, which = BAD. :sad:
lets assume its the same bug, which accidentally marked reno's answer blue last week shall we :/
