I know this is off topic, but I never knew that was possible to do with ropes, nice idea!

set the ropes to not collide with world. If that isn't it then I'm at a loss

if i may ask... what do u want to fix? the fact that the ropes seem to
get smaller in width in certain areas? or that they are chunky looking?

heres a suggestion...

check all your key_frame ropes.. make sure that the width is the same
throughout... so if u have a width of 2 for your "move_rope" then make
sure your keyframe_rope is also set at 2....... other then that.... it
could be a texture issue? make sure you have the right material
selected for all ropes (it looks like cable)

I imagine do what Dr. Glass said and then mess around with a manager (I forget the name, but there's one for rope physics). It'll make it so the ropes work together and not against each other ... as they're doing now.

Looks to me that they are set to collide with world, that will cause
some strange problems. But speculation is useless, where is cobra!
