Funny you should show those pictures :o Not to long ago, I was working on a 1 man mod that I thought up, called "Lack of Structure." The premise being that you were in a dam that was collapsing around you -- I looked at several hoover dam pictures while I did a little work on the map...
Anyway, I wonder why valve got rid of cs_thunder -- I play it in Condition Zero, several times, and I thought it was excellent. I was particularly impressed with how easily you could get lost in the dam
Breaking the laws of mapping since 2003 and doing a damn fine job at it

Don't make it the hoover dam, thats a little too large and boring, you'd be walking along and around it for days!

No But you could use it for some ideas on how to make the dam better, with real world attributes.

A damn map would be awesome!
Do you remember the dam in HL1? If that was made into HL2 but a lot more detailed then it would rock!

Theres a dam in Cornwall somewhere that would be perfect- its all in a forested park and s**t, and then its just a smaller version of the hoover (like 10 times smaller) but it still takes 4 minutes to walk it.

I dont know. I am dead in the middel of this siege map im doing, and I have area 8 on DrGlass project still to complete as well. I also have oilrig to rework as well. But tis maybe a job for the cs map mosaic DrGlass and I were talking about on his forums. And Maybe one of the modelers could make a Hoover Dam like Plaque with all the maps and modelers who contribute stuff to the map to put in this map. I think that would be really sweet. I Just woke up so if this makes no sense at all that is why.
