firstly forgive me if this is in the wrong forum

secondly i decided to start a brand new topic to my other hammer related topic to possible get more attention to this one.

when i start up hammer i get the message "texture intialization failed" then when i go to start a new map is says i have to set up the textures through the texture tab in the options menu. i went through the options menu but really dont have a clue what to do here. im in desperete need of suggestions.

thanks.

yes this should be in hl2 editing

When you start up the sdk try refreshing configs or something similar
(btw this will mean that any changes you have made will be reset to
default).

Hammer 4.0 automatically sets itself up so that is very odd. I read on another forum that a man redownloaded it and it automatically set itself up.

Try that maybe...

I'll bloody move it just so you people stfu  It could just have been
left and it would have faded away into memory. Why is there this
tendency to post in "finished" threads and keep them bumped without any
good reason? Gahhhh!!
