What can we do?
There has always been and always will be women who never should have had children but alas they do it anyway. Should we consign the day where motherhood is celebrated to the nether regions because of them, or ignore that they exist in favor of the mothers who do the job very well? I cannot help but wonder if it deprives them of the true glory that they deserve because they are sharing it with people undeserving.
We cannot even go so far as to say, "We'll only think of the good mothers"
Good is a relative term. Do you honestly think that the bad mothers feel that they are doing a poor job? That they are evil or bad?
I think not. The numbers just don't support that idea. There are simply too many bad mothers to believe that they think they are doing something wrong.
Also, where does one draw the line between "GOOD" and "BAD"?
My standards might be higher, or lower than the next person. Does that mean that neither of us is capable of recognizing good and bad?
And
What do we do about the children with truly evil mothers? The ones with lives so bad that they would gladly trade up to mothers that are only bad at the job...
Days like this with no clear distinction make me sad.

Just once, can't you just keep your unwelcome comments to yourself?
Its funny that you complain about my post, then add to it. You cannot have it both ways Jeff.
My comment IMO was 100% neutral. It didn't name names. It didn't point fingers. It actually TALKED about both sides of a situation.
sighs
I'd give almost anything if you could just once not be so damned disruptive.
Add your views, but dammit stop complaining about what others post.
